I see something I never thought I would ever see. Caelum kissing a girl. I clear my throat to get their attention.
"Oh...hey, Scar. This is Amie. Uh...Amie this is my roommate, Scarlet." He ducks his head down in embarrassment.
"Nice to meet you...um...sorry it had to be like this though..." Amie chuckles. She's pretty. I wonder why she's kissing someone like Caelum. Not that Caelum is ugly but...he's kind of a nerd. I say kind of in the nicest way possible. I mean he's a rich nerd, but still a nerd.
"I'm just going to get some water...don't let me distract you..." I wink at them and squeeze pass them. How odd. Caelum discovers that he and his new roommate had powers and he's having girls over. Sounds legit. I make my way over to the kitchen. I am freaking in love with this house. The furniture, the paintings, the appiances, the walls, even the doors! This is the kind of house little girls would dream about living in. Oh shoot...where do we keep the cups? I go from cupboad to cupboard trying to find where the cups are. I open one of them and I see this glowing book. Wait. Glowing? I slowly take it out from it's place and brush off some of the dust. Something ells me Caelum doesn't know it's here.
"CAELUM COME HERE! QUICK!" I hear two pairs of feet run down the stairs.
"What's wrong...?" "Caelum come here..." he walks hesitantly towards me.
"Tell Amie to go home...it's about our...powers..." I whisper.
"Amie...I think I'm going to head o seelp now. I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" He says. He looks like a good boyfriend.
"Oh..okay." She looks so disapointed. I feel so bad, but I need to talk to Caelum. Caelum escors her out while I take another look at the glowing book.
There's a small part of it that is doggy-eared. I flip to that page just as Caelum returns with a lip gloss stain on his cheek. "Uh Caelum...actually never mind." I figure it will be funny just to let him walk around the house like that.
"Look at what I found it the cupboard..." Oh shoot...I never got my water. Shoot...I still don't know where the cups are...I fumble around looking for the cups as Caelum examines the book.
"This was my dad's..." I look over my shoulder and I see that Caelum's shoulders had tensed. What's with that? I decide not to ask. If he wants to tell me, he can.
"It's in a different language though. Scar, come see if you can read it again..." Well, I guess I'm never going to get my water. I give up on my, apparently impossible, task and go stand beside him.
"The two children of the legend must not only learn how to use their powers, but also use the other to learn to control it." I read the fist sentence. Is it refering to us? Is the legend really us? Me, a regular teenage girl, and Caelum, a regular nerd?
"Caelum is this..." I begin
"I don't know. Keep reading."
"The two of the legend have 3 hidden powers each that they must discover. One of them revolves around the fire element, while the other revolves around the water element." I recite. How am I doing this? It's not as if it's turning into English, I can just read what it says. "Caelum..." I say.
"Yeah?" He turns to face me.
"I'm scared..."
"Me too." he wrapps his arm around me and pulls me close.

"They know who they are now." A raspy cackling voice says.
"No need to worry. They don't know anythng about the shade and the tint. They may be of the legend, but they are a joke." I new voice reassures. Who are they and ow do they not see me? Where am I anyways? I take a quick glance around. There is a pool of black liquid far below a floating platform. The two strangers are sitting on the platform. I can't see their faces clearly, only the shape of their body.
"They won't see us coming in two weeks.They shall fall while we rise. We will, once again, be the kings!" They start laughing an ear-peircing laugh. I scream out in pain as I melt away into absolutely nothing.
