"CAELUM WAKE UP!"
"Huh...?" Caelum's voice is full of grogginess.
"I. Said. To. Wake. Up." I walk over to his wardrobe and pick out a plaid shirt and jeans and throw it at him.
"Get changed. We're going to that address." Caelum groans, but I just ignore him.
Ten minutes later I am all changed and waiting downstairs for Caelum to come down. First time ever that a girl is ready before a boy. While waiting, I decide to look through the phone Caelum gave me. The good thing about it is Spencer, my dad, and Margo don't know the number so I don't have to put up with their crap.
"Okay, I'm ready." Caelum says, yawning as he thumps down the stairs. I have to admit, he looks hot in plaid. Wait. Scratch that. Pretend like I never said it and you never heard it? Sound good? Good.
-------------------
Before we know it we have arrived in front of the mysterious building that I never knew existed.
"Is this a good idea?" Caelum asks, nervous. I think about my dream. My mom wouldn't mislead me.
"I am sure it is." I take a long glance at the building before we enter. It's a small building compared to the ones around it. Too big to be a house, but too small to be an apartment building. It's a maroon colour, but the paint is chipping. It's either now or never, and since I can't pick never, I guess it's going to be now.
------------------
I knock on the black door, but there are no footsteps signalling someone coming to open the door. I try the doorknob. It turns. I can't help but think I am in a movie. One of those movies where everyone is shouting at the screen telling the characters not to enter the building. However, apart from this thought, I still enter the dusty and unkept building. "He-hello?" I stutter. Before I wouldn't have been so scared because I didn't know magic existed, but now that I do, I am extremely terrified.
"Who's there?" A young women's sing song voice fills the otherwise neglected building.
"Scarlet. I...believe you know my mother?"
"Scarlet? Scarlet. Scarlet! Oh yes! I do know who you are! Wow I haven't seen you since you were just a baby and your mom came to me about...uh...nevermind. Anyways how old are you!?" I hesitate for a moment before spitting out my age, in slight disgust. For it is because of this age that my entire life had gone left, right, up, down, and back.
"15. I am 15." The women's face drops as she come to realization to why I'm here. "This is my friend, Caelum. We come for answers. Multiple actually. Is there a chance you could help us?" I plead.
"Why of course. Caelum, let's start with your dad." Caelum's face goes from scared, to startled, to ashamed. "He..."
