Casey sighed deeply.

She never felt like this before.

She never really wanted to help others.

Although it's hard to admit, but Casey is a very selfish girl. She had visions before on the danger or bad things that may happen to her classmates, but she never bother to warn them about it. She simply doesn't care about others.

Or rather, she despises the fact that others would be dying to know how did she know all that. The fact that Casey is a cursed legilimen is a top secret known only by her family, Headmaster Dippet and Prof. Dumbledore.

That is why, Casey wonders why she wanted to help Credence.

But, seeing such a fragile vulnerable boy like him somehow reminded Casey of herself. When Casey was in her first year in Hogwarts, she faced a rather shameful experience. When she was about to be sorted into houses, she can't help but to hear thousands of inner voices talking about her family. Those countless voices suffocated her, causing her to lose control over herself and fainted in front of other students in the great hall.

However, many of her fellow Slytherins still wanted to be her friend. Yet, Casey could read their intention clearly. They simply wanted her family influence.

Prof. Dumbledore at that time, being a great wizard he is, knows that something is wrong with her. So he helped Casey a lot. He helped Casey to manage her power, allowing Casey to take control all the time and only letting the inner voices into her mind when she is ready to do so.

Of course, there are still other things that Casey can't control such as the sudden exploration of one's strongest feelings everytime someone touches her. Or the visions she gets everytime dangers are approaching.

But still, she is much better now as compared to before. All thanks to Headmaster Dippet and Prof. Dumbledore who help her a lot.

That is why, she wanted to help Credence. For once, she wanted to help someone, so that he could be much better. Like she is now.
