after school

my sister and i have always been close in a kinda weird way; because we're weird people.

"hey wes." kalynn says poking her head in my room. i was finishing up some math homework.

"yeah?" i ask looking up.

"i found out this app," she says walking over to my desk. "it's something new, it's younow."

"younow?" i ask questioning the name. it sounded like some sexual app.

"yeah." kalynn said looking down at her phone. "you basically press 'go live' and people will watch, and you can communicate with new people. i thought it would be good for you; making some internet friends."

"why do i need internet friends?" i say less like a question. "i already have great friends."

"that are always on their phones at lunch?" kalynn asks.

"well-," i say as i try to come up with an excuse. "mario and i talk during science class."

(they got some chemistry?? ;)))

"you talk-during class?" kalynn says; jokingly, "i'm telling mom."

she runs out of my room and leaves downstairs or somewhere about.

i unplug my phone from its charger.

i go to the app store and search up: 'younow.'
