"you know what," weston says.

"what do you want now you ugly duck." i say petting our dog.

(BUDDY)

"do you think nathan likes you?" weston asks. but not like he's being serious. he's never serious, let's all be honest.

"we're just friends." i say snap chatting my friend back.

"THAT'S WHAT EVERYBODY SAYS." weston yells so everybody can hear it.

"first it was loren and blake, blake texts me; we're just friends, now it's you and nathan. like yUs." weston says.

"okay, calm." i say getting up and leaving the premise so i don't have to deal with that rat.

"hey loren." i say tapping her back while we enter english class.

she turns around and a slight smile forms.

  "hey." she says with a slight wave.

  "sooo, i was wondering if-you wanted to be partners for the essay?"

she looked shocked, like she thought i was gonna ask her out.
