a couple weeks later,

loren's pov

my parents made me join a school club. but out of all of them, they chose for me to join debate club.

-

once school ended, i packed up as slow as i could thinking that this club could end faster.

i opened up the door and in front of my eyes were people from other grades. i could tell they were taller, and smarter than me. although i'm a gifted student, these students were most likely geniuses.

i was clearly late and the director of the club was giving me a confused look.

she looked down at her paper and said my name.

"ah, you must be loren beech. welcome." she said. "take an empty seat."

i look down at my feet while i walk to the empty gray chair farthest to the right.

"hi." a small voice whispers. i look up and left.

it was blake.

blake's pov

now she knows my secret-i'm in debate club.

  "oh, hi blake." she whispers.

  "miss beech and mr. gray,
am i interrupting your conversation?" ms. hanna asks.

"no, ms, hanna. i'm sorry." i say looking back at her, speaking for loren and i.

zach's pov

"zach, we need to talk.." ariel said looking down a little.
