...

"Sasori-Danna... I'm scared, hm."

Sasori gave me a sympathetic look, gently pulling the elastic from my hair out. My blonde locks fell down, appearing quite messy due to their desire to stay sticking up slightly. He gently ran his fingers through, fixing it to fall down as he wanted to see it.

"I know, brat, I know." He murmured, resting his chin on my shoulder.

He lowered his arms, snaking them around my waist to pull me backwards onto his lap. My head tilted back slightly to look at him, our eyes catching slightly. His lips only parted into a discreet smile before he leaned down to press his lips to mine.

Sasori always seemed to like kissing me, something I didn't completely understand. Of course we were a couple, kissing was normal. Yet it seemed like he always did so every chance he got, although I couldn't really complain. All of this was new to me, I'd never been in a relationship before. I liked it.

He pulled away as there was a knock on the door, although didn't allow me to stand from where I was sitting. The one to enter was a man I had no desire to see, yet he strolled in as if he was our favorite person. My eyes narrowed, a growl rumbling in my throat.

All of this was his fault.

My brother's life was on the line.

All because of him.

He quietly approached, placing a briefcase on he bed beside us; the whole time he couldn't bring himself to look either of us in the eyes. The brown-haired male went to exit once more, although paused as he rested his hand on the door frame.

"I apologize for all the trouble. There's triple what the original payment would have been. It's for the original mission, for putting a knife to your throat, and for your brother's injury." He mumbled, directing the statement to me. "All of it came from my own personal allowance."

And with that, he exited the room and closed the door behind him. My eyes softened slightly at his actions. Of course, I was still extremely angry with him. But at least we knew he was a good guy at heart, and he's sorry for what he did. Whether I'd forgive him or not would likely depend on how Deidara does.

We'd been staying at the feudal lord's home for several days, and so far the only news we'd gotten on my brother was bad news. They didn't know if he was going to live or not, and it got to a point where they'd need to perform surgery in order to stop the internal bleeding. They'd fixed it the day we got here, but someone had done something wrong and it started up again.

If it was successful, he'd live.

If it failed, he'd die.

Sasori gently ran his finger in circles over my palm, to calm my breathing. I tried to do so, telling myself everything would be alright. The redhead remained silent, staying right with me. He wanted to comfort me the best he could, and he was now going to do just that.

He leaned down slightly, pressing his lips softly against the mouth on my hand. I said nothing, remaining silent as I just watched him. He looked up at me, before pressing his lips softly against my nose. A slight whimper came from me, Sasori desperately trying to distract me.

He laid kiss after kiss across my face, down my neck, on my shoulders.

I attempted to drown myself in his affection, blocking out all the negative emotions. I needed a distraction, something to take my mind off things. I forcibly pressed my lips against his, attempting to take control. The ferocity of the kiss only increasing.
