My muscles were throbbing when I woke, laying on the cold, stone floor in the dark hallway. I made no sound, thoughts flashing through my mind. Immediately, the tears formed once more, causing me to burry my head in my hands.
Everything was so messed up.
Had he lost interest in me, did he no longer like me? My mind wasn't sure what to think, were too many possibilities. All I knew is that Sasori was angry with me, and I couldn't understand why. I tried to think, wanting to know what I'd done wrong, but nothing came to mind.
Everything between us was always so complicated, I just didn't understand. What about our relationship was so difficult, or so wrong, to a point that Kami didn't want us to be together. Every time we got close, something would come and rip us apart.
Footsteps echoed against the walls, and it was easily told someone was heading in this direction. My mind told me I didn't want to see anyone, I didn't want anybody in the Akatsuki to see me like this. They may catch on to Sasori and I, they could tell Deidara. They could destroy everything we'd fought to keep a secret with a single sentence.
"Deimara. Come with me."
My head lifted to catch eyes with Konan, her looking at me worriedly. My head lowered, not wanting to move. She sighed slightly, approaching and pulling me to my feet. There was no motivation, and my body only slumped forward. Konan shook my shoulders slightly before grabbing my hand and pulling me after her without explanation.
We moved through the halls of the base, and soon out the entrance. She jumped up onto the red arc, pulling me beside her. Then we moved to the forest area on the other side of the small canyon. We jumped from tree to tree, myself to tired to protest.
She pulled me down into a clearing, where there sat a black blanket with red clouds. It was covered with food, my eyes widening. In the corner, was a redhead witch chocolate brown eyes. Konan only smiled, nudging me forward before taking back to the trees.
Sasori stood and moved around the blank, taking my hand in his own. His lips gently touched the back of my hand before he looked up, escorting me to the blanket. He lowered himself to the ground, me plopping down next to him. The redhead leaned forward, getting a plate and a pair of chop sticks to pass to me.
"D-Danna? Why did you..."
"You wanted to go on a date." He answered.
"But you said you didn't like date and that the-"
"That doesn't matter. You have just as much of a say in our relationship as I do, and that means it's not all about what I want and what I think of things."
"Thank you, hm!"
He tensed up, rather surprised as I suddenly threw my arms around him. Sasori remained frozen for a moment before he began to pet my head softly, running his fingers through my hair as usual. All my previous doubts had been washed away, just being here with him.
"I asked Konan for some of your favorite foods, and also tried to make some things I saw you get when we were of missions." Sasori explained. "I'm not really good at this kind of thing so I'm sor-"
"It's perfect, hm."
Reaching forward, I got a dango stick and cheerfully ate the sweet I'd fallen in love with. There was rarely dango at the base since Itachi would either eat it all or hide it all as soon as he saw it. Sasori chuckled at my excitement, causing a slight pout to form on my face.
He only took my hand and lifted it to see the palm before leaning forward. His lips touched against the mouth on my hand, my cheeks immediately turning red. Attempting to pull my hand away from where he held it was useless, Sasori wasn't having it.
