Sorry if the story is getting kind of boring in the chapter, the story is kind of starting to settle down now. Anyway, hope you enjoy the chapter!

"Sasori, she looks really sick, un."

"They haven't been feeding her properly," Sasori replied as he handed some bills to Deidara, "can you head into town and get the brat some soup? It'll go down easiest."

"Okay. Take care of her, Danna."

I heard a bit of shuffling before the door opened and closed. The had died down slightly due to some medicine that Sasori had given me, yet I still felt like a nightmare. Dark bags hung under my eyes, or say Deidara had pointed out when he thought I was asleep. I couldn't sleep, I was afraid. I didn't want to wake up back in that place.

The bed dipped beside me and I felt myself tense. A hand softly moved through my hair, and soft humming began to fill the room. I turned slightly, despite the pain, so I was looking up. My eyes fell on the man with crimson hair and chocolate brown eyes. His lips formed a slightly smile, myself reaching up towards him. He took my hand and held it as he hummed, tracing his finger against my palm.

"Danna..."

My eyes rested on Sasori from where he sat beside me, and he turned to look out the window. My gaze followed his, watching the rain poor down outside. Pattering echoed throughout the room, as he gave a soft smile. I grew slightly confused, wondering what exactly he was smiling about, but I was glad that he was happy. He didn't smile a lot, and it was one of my favourite things to see him do.

"The rain reminded me of a lullaby my parents used to sing to me," he chuckled softly, "although we never got rain in Suna."

"You've never talked about your family before..."

"You never asked. Besides, the topic never came up."

Sasori looked back towards the rain, a small smile stuck to his face. He almost seemed lost in thought as he watched the little water drops fall. He slowly rose to his feet and walked across the room. He moved closer towards the window, placing his hand on the glass. He seemed so at peace as he lost himself in his thoughts, memories washing over him.

"What were your parents like, Danna?"

"I was very little when they died... and it's hard to remember them very well. People used to say I looked just like my father. He had red hair and brown eyes, just like me. My mother had brown eyes too, and brown hair." He spoke softly.

"What... happened to them?"

"They were killed by a hidden leaf ninja. I remember waiting and waiting for them to come home... but they never did."

"I... I'm sorry."

"They were both kind, and very good puppeteers. They would play with me a lot, and on my birthday they'd spend the entire day with me... no distractions. They would have really liked you, but I guess in a way I'm kind of glad they died. It sounds kind of twisted, but if they were alive I probably wouldn't have gone rogue. I wouldn't have joined the Akatsuki or... met you."

"I understand. They sound like amazing people."

"You have no idea," he whispered, "not one clue."

"My parents weren't really like that, hm."

"What were yours like?"

"They were in the ANBU. My mother took time off during her pregnancy, but she started again only two weeks after we were born. They were almost never around. It's strange, because I can barely remember them. I want to remember them, but they were around so little I didn't see them much. It was usually just me and Deidara, and the Tsuchikage would babysit us. He was like a grandfather to me."
