"Get up."
My eyes lifted slightly, catching brown ones. The woman glared down at me harshly, several people in ANBU uniforms entering behind her. My eyes widened at the sight of them, before my gaze moved to the concrete floor once more. It seemed like the time had passed by quicker than I imagined, yet I supposed time seemed to fly in these kind of situations.
"Right now, hm?"
"Unfortunately not yet, blondie. Don't feel so bad about it when the time comes though, no one will miss you anyway."
My arms were grabbed before several ANBU yanked me to my feet. They released me once I was standing but had to quickly grab onto me once more. My legs were weak, and my body shaky. I had no physical strength left. I was parched, starving and overtired. I couldn't continue any longer, I was so weak. I felt so sick, and I knew I was dying. I wouldn't make it to my execution, which was in three days.
I would die before then.
Of thirst.
Of starvation.
Of depression.
Of anxiety.
Of loneliness.
One of the ANBU lifted me up before carrying me from the cell. Seals were placed all over my body to prevent me from fighting, but even if they took them off... I was no match. My chakra wasn't able to regenerate properly, and I barely had any left. I'm at 7 months, but I can tell my baby is getting weaker. Even if I survived until my execution, my baby wouldn't. Not without proper care.
I was placed on a table in a new cell, one of the ANBU having to hold me up. The female who seemed to be leading them took a small needle before sticking it into my flesh. I whimpered in pain and tried to move away, but she simply held it there and refused to move. My hair was yanked back and my mouth was yanked open before a liquid was poured down my throat.
Water.
It was water.
My body collapsed onto the table as soon as I was released, my head pounding heavily. Everything was hurting so much, and I was begging for it to end. Yet for some reason, I didn't feel as weak. The pain had gotten worse, but my body felt stronger. Looking towards the female, she simply smirked down at me with a devious look in her eye.
"I just gave you some water and a shot to help you. Wouldn't want you dying before your execution date." She taunted.
She and the ANBU left the room, before the door was slammed shut. I was left to wallow in my pain, wishing for it to end. Coughs escaped my lips as I attempted to get up, to move, to twitch. To do something, anything. Even just to move my mouth slightly or to shift a finger.
But I couldn't.
I was in so much pain, I couldn't even move. Whatever they had given me... they knew this would happen. It would keep you alive, perhaps, but the side effects were unbearable. The door opened and closed, yet I couldn't even look up to see who it was. Everything just hurt. It hurt so bad.
"Deimara, what happened? They wouldn't let me come heal you. Have you been eating?"
I recognized Sakura's voice, but I couldn't reply. I felt like I was going numb, and Sakura seemed to shuffle around a bit before moving directly beside me. She rolled me over slightly so I could see her, and I could pick out the worry in her emerald green eyes. She assisted me to sit up before having me lean against her, picking up a container of yogurt.
She forcefully opened my mouth and put in a small spoonful. I almost through it back up, but she kept my mouth closed and it was help down. She only got a little bit on the spoon at a time, but kept on giving me more and more. With each bite I felt even more sick, trying to refuse, but she wouldn't stop. She just kept getting more and more.
