Thank you guys for so many reads! I never expected to get 100 reads let alone 710. So thank you so much. This isn't my best chapter but I have been busy this past couple of weeks with family. I promise I will update later tonight with a longer and better one. I hope you like this book and please comment more. I would like to see if I need to work on something or if you have any ideas for the book. Here is chapter 12. I hope you enjoy! :)

Chres's POV

This last week as been interesting. I love being able to spend time with my Victoria and Destiny. We have been going everywhere. Victoria has been twisting my arm and I find myself buying her everything but I don’t mind. I only see her twice a year so I take advantage of the time I have. The only problem is Destiny. She has been so off this week. She always tries to find an excuse to stay home when we go out. She hasn’t been as happy as she usually is. Even when we are in bed she is distant. I used to wake up with her laying on my chest but lately she is on the other side of the bed or gone. I’ve asked her what’s going on but she tells me that she is fine. She barely even kisses me anymore.

“Come on Chres! Mom lands in half an hour.” I heard Victoria’s loud voice coming down the hall and I finally left the room, heading to the front. Victoria had her coat on and was bouncing impatiently by the door.

“OK. Is everyone ready?” I looked over at Destiny and she just gave me and small nod, followed by a fake smile.

“Yes Chres. We have been ready for forever. Now come on.” Victoria grabbed my keys and headed outside to the car. I was about to follow her when I noticed Destiny was still sitting on the sofa in a daze. I called out the door to Victoria and told her to wait in the car. She started protesting but I shut the door in her face. I walked over to Destiny and grabbed her arms pulling her towards me. I captured her mouth with mine and she jumped in surprise. I pulled her closer and deepened the kiss, causing her to let out a moan. I finally pulled away and her face was flush and she looked confused.

“What are you doing?” She was breathing heavily and I stared into her eyes.

“What is wrong with you? You have been cold all week and I’m tired of seeing you mope around the house. We aren’t going anywhere until you tell me.” She looked surprised at my question and looked away from me,avoiding eye contact. I pulled her chin back towards me and I saw she was about to cry.

“Your mom isn’t going to like me.” I let out a sigh and pinched the bridge of my nose.

“Why would you think that? I know for a fact she will love you. I mean Victoria is crazy about you.” She pulled away from me and I saw her eyes fill with anger.

“No she isn’t. Victoria hates me. How do you not see it? She pretends to be this sweet innocent person when you’re around but is the complete opposite. Do you want to know what she told me? That you were going to leave me. That I’m not good enough for you. If you’re leaving please just do it now. I’m not going to be that stupid girl who sits around thinking everything is perfect when it’s not.” She was full on crying now and was using her sleeve to wipe away her tears. I just stood there shocked at her outburst. I thought back through the week and thought about what she was saying. Every time I left for work or just left them alone, I would come back and Destiny would be quieter than before. She would looked defeated, heartbroken. I pulled her to me and held her close while she cried into my shirt.

“I’m not going anywhere Destiny and if anything you’re too good for me.” I pulled away and kissed her, wiping her tears away with my thumb. She was about to say something but the front door burst open and an agitated Victoria walked in.
