What's This?

It's boring, so very boring. It's been over a month now since you accepted to stay at Gaara's side at all times, there wasn't much to do about it. Goro wasn't pleased by the news of course,  especially when you told him that you had to stay close to the Kazekage. That left you to live at a house close to the Kazekage's. The other two had no choice but to stay at the previous house, even if you didn't get much time to spend with Goro and Itachi, now you gladly call them friends. But it was boring as hell, all you had to do was to stick around him and make sure he's healthy but during the month he hasn't been in any sort of danger.

Itachi is still as quiet as ever but he's much more... Friendly? He begins to talk a little more, asking how you've been and that sort of thing. When it comes to his younger brother, he prefers not to speak about the subject. But there are news about Sasuke which aren't too pleasant. You have a feeling that it won't take too long  him to leave.

Goro? Goro, he's even more friendly. It's quite funny really, when you first met him he looked rather serious but now, he's much more talkative and friendly. Even if you eat at the same times at Gaara, he makes sure to bring you food at the end of the day. Itachi tags along and the three of you eat together. His behavior is rather strange when it comes to you, perhaps he's taking the whole protection role too serious.

"Are you alright?" The cool voice of Gaara interrupts you as he looks up from the documents sitting on the desk.

He must have noticed your pensive state. "I'm fine, sorry." The Kazekage, very young and yet very mature. He's doing a great job at protecting his home, quite amazing. Though, quiet you enjoy the time working with him. He's very calm, warm and gentle so different from the one years ago. His change has been so radical.

"If you wish, you can go and walk around." The offer was more than tempting, but it's your job to stick to his side at all times.

With a long sigh, you shook your head. "It's quite alright." Besides, it's almost the end of the day any way.

He kept his eyes on your form for a minute or so and then returned to finish signing some documents. When he was in the middle of reading a document, he paused once again and then turned to look at you once more. "[Name]?"

Looking away from a book that he let you borrow, you gave him your full attention. "Yes?"

He placed the pen and document on the desk and leaned back. "I received word of Konoha, it appears that team 7 will be coming. There are things that must be discussed, and I seemed it important to let you know. The reason of their visit is because we'll be discussing about you, because of that it's important that you're there."

Ah, Team 7. Should you be happy? If so, you're not so thrilled about it. Especially if you're the topic that it's going to be discussed. "I see, then I'll be there. But, why me?"

"The Hokage was notified about your location, she believes you shouldn't be allowed to live here. However, it seems that they too have a proposition for you." The long pause have you enough time to think, however, what you were going to hear caught you off guard. "There are...Other issues with a small clan."

"What kind of issue, if you don't mind me asking."

"You didn't know that there was a [Last Name] clan, did you?" He asked, but he already knew the answer.

"There's a clan?" How? Your parents didn't even know either. Your father's parents were the only people with that last name. That's all you know.

"Yes, they are well hidden away from civilization. We received a message, and they said that they are lacking a leader. They believe you're the only one fit for that role."

"That's nonsense. If that's the issue then if you receive another message, please tell them that I'm not interested." Why now though? There's something really strange there and you're not about to accept that offer.

"Very well then." He looked outside, the sun is retiring for the day. "Are you hungry?"

Raising an eyebrow, you watched him. "I...Why?"

For yet another moment, he just observed you and then looked away. "There is a new restaurant opening today, I was invited. Would you be so kind as to come with me?"

With out any words to say, you opened your mouth like a fish. You're not very good with resonance but is he? Shaking your head as is it would shake away those thoughts, you looked back at him. "I'm rather hungry, so sure."

A smile appeared of his face and then he stood up. "Then, please follow me."

You followed the male, and the restaurant sure left you shocked. It's a rather elegant place, one that only with enough money would be able to afford. You've known Gaara, but he doesn't seem like the type of person to like this kind of places. He's simple, but he must have accepted the offer not to offend the owner.

As you were lead to a table for two, those around spared the both of you glances. A pink dust adorned your cheeks upon hearing some of the whispers.  Because you have been spending most of your time at Gaara's side, rumors have been created. Apparently, others believe that there's much more between the two of you. With a curse, you kept following Gaara. Maybe it wasn't such a great idea to tag along after all.

The remaining of the evening was spent with small talk so eventually you both had to part ways. Oddly enough, the red headed male insisted on walking you home first. It should be the other way around considering that it's your job. He didn't take no for an answer, and here you are standing in front of your home with the Kazekage at your side. Murmurs left the people's lips, and having Gaara there would only add more fuel to the fire to burn.

"Is something bothering you?" As always, asking  about your well being.

Despite all of it, you couldn't help but smile. "I'm fine, but you should go home and rest. You'll have a busy day after all."

Those beau green eyes stared at you. "Thank you, I enjoyed the time I spent with you."

Your eyes widened. "Oh. So did I, thanks for the invitation." Unconsciously, you rubbed your arm.

"No need to thank me. Good night then." And with that, he walked to his home which wasn't too far from your own.

"So that's where you were." The voice sounded angry.

From the I side of the house emerged Goro with a frown of his face. "Sorry."

"Whatever. We left you food on the table, we'll get going then." Without anything else to say, Goro and Itachi left. Itachi however said his goodbye with a nod.

With a long breath, you shook your head. Talk about things going back to normal. What on the world is wrong with Goro? Things are turning out to be much more strange. Shaking your head and feeling quite exhausted, you walked in the house. A warm bath is more than welcomed to get rid of any thoughts plaguing your mind. You don't need to stress, you'll have plenty of it when Team 7 arrives.
