Sasuke's Ending Part 3

It was such an endless journey with no destination in mind, full of danger and no familiar faces. Or at least, that is how it was for a couple of weeks until a message was sent to you from your clan. How they even knew was beyond you, but they did and they requested your urgent response. 

Apparently after the war, their village had been heavily impacted and although Aki as their leader, he didn’t have the experience nor the will to continue to be their leader. They wanted you back, even after they had witnessed with their own eyes that you had been working with Madara, the man responsible for said war. That didn't seem to matter to them, they were aware of the circumstances of your cooperation. 

So, you responded to the cries of help and returned to your clan. Sasuke without giving much of his own opinion, followed you.

When you returned to the village, you both had been bombarded with work. So eventually, you both found yourselves working to improve not only the Village's state but also the protection. 

Time passed with the two of you focusing in nothing but work, but with each day that passed, even if busy, you came to realize how much Sasuke really cared for you. If his constant support wasn’t enough, he became someone that you could count on. He became your support, he kept you on your feet when you found yourself stressed and tired. He was the one who made sure to remind you that you needed to take care of yourself when you over exceeded yourself. Those actions and among others made you understand that he wasn’t just someone that had joined you in your journey. No, he had become your best friend, who had come to understand you more with each passing day. And little by little, you began to appreciate his efforts, and maybe you didn’t realize it at first but when you did, it was too late. It took time, yes, but you had developed feelings, ones that were far away from considering him a friend. Two years after you both reunited, that is how long it took you to see him more than just a friend or a simple companion.

Sighing, you placed a scroll on the table shaking the thoughts of Sasuke from your mind. The scroll resting on your desk, announcing of their visit, even when he didn’t even ask for your permission to visit. After the war, your clan wanted to isolate themselves for the time being until your village was strong enough to defend themselves. But to simply not let them in would place your clan at risk, besides, it has been over a week since they sent the scroll. Although you received it this morning, you knew that they would arrive at any moment given that Goro was with them.

Feeling how number your legs were, you decided to find Sasuke and let him know. So, after stretching your limbs, you head outside but not before informing your staff of your leave and of the news. Just as your feet touch the ground outside of the building, a smile appeared on your face as you dashed toward the Academy where Sasuke would be. He did take the responsibility to train those willing to become warriors.

As the building came into view, you stopped for a moment to just stare at the academy and analyzed it. The previous academy wasn’t as big and as strong as the current one, and all of that was thanks to Sasuke. For a couple of minutes of asking of his whereabouts, you came to stand in the dummy area, which was occupied by several kids aiming at said dummies all the while Sasuke instructed them.

The kids, around six years old came to notice you and before they rushed to your side in excitement, Sasuke turned around and ordered them to continue. The male began to make his way to your side, but as he did, your eyes locked on his adding a smile. He did the same, but his smile was smaller, almost visible.

When your eyes left his, you watched the kids, some girls glancing your ways and saying something then giggled. You could only imagine what they were talking about, so your smile grew even more. “Looks like you got a new group of students this week.”
