Here I am,
A foolish idiot,
I thought it was better,
But it only took a moment to remember
That it never gets better,
Not for long.
I can't look forward to anything anymore,
Because when I do,
It's brutally torn away
I was stupid,
To leave my cave of sadness,
And go into the light
I was an imbecile
To allow myself to smile.
I guess I've learned my lesson.
Never smile again.
Because it hurts so much more
To be torn away from it
When you've already experienced
Happiness.
