"Insecurities"

20 7 2

A tear rolls down her face

Dripping slowly to her hands

As her thoughts race

And remind her of what she lost

That she isn't good enough

She'll only hurt people

They whisper, hugging her close

You're useless, worthless

And she listened.

She listened to them as they tasted her tears

She listened to them, because they were there

And her greatest fear

Was loneliness

No-one'll ever love you.

But we will.

Trust us, we'll never leave you.

She called them "Insecurities"

And with them, she reasoned

She would never be alone again.
