Wish upon a star,
As it shoots across the sky
Throw your dreams
Into the depth of the night
Cry silver tears
As you spill your fears
Wish them away,
As you start to lose the brightness of day
Wrap yourself in a cloak of darkness,
Specked with golden stars
And evade your troubles
With a single wish
From a beautifully broken soul.
Wish upon a star,
The first one in the sky.
And maybe one day,
Your wish will come true.
