A great bolt of lightning struck from the crimson sky and destroyed a stone white building. Another followed before another and another. Great fires broke out in Gord and smoke reached up into the sky. The fighting increased to a new level of intensity. Mage of such high skill now effected the very environment around them. The most powerful in the very centre of the city. Arch-mage Tate fought his old friend and king of Gord, Coext the holy sword saint. A fight so intense that history would etch this into the very foundation of history. No matter who wins or loses each will before ever remembered as victor or loser.

Huffing and puffing she managed to speak as she followed the bald man. “Zee.” He just looked back at her with his tired dopey blue eyes. “Zee is my name” she blurted out once more.

Set smiled and continued to run forward through the maze like alleyways of Gord. He had lived here for a while but still wasn’t used to the layout of the city. Has he ran his four swords clanked and swayed to and throw. Zee just stayed behind him he was after all her best bet for survival after being split up from her other mage.

Truning a corner they watched a mage being cut down by a white knight. Zee knew the mage but now was not the time for sorrow. The knight turned to face Set and with a swish he met with the ground dead. Zee had been with Set for a while now and still had yet to watch him pull out the sword. He seemed to cut people with some sort of wind. Magic maybe thought Zee yet she sensed no mana coming from him.

“Please stop I need a break.” Zee spat out as she swallowed up all the oxygen she could in the crimson air.

Set stopped and looked at her before nodding and looked up at the red sky and watched beam of red light hit down and areas around the city. Another great roar of thunder slammed into Set and Zee’s ears as lightning hit a far off area in the city. The alley they stood in was compact and cobbled with old stone.

“Stay here Zee I need to get bearings, shout if you need me.” Zee nodded to his statement and he jumped from one wall to other bouncing of each until he reached the rooftop. Zee could not believe her eyes. What strength no wonder he was the current sword saint.

Standing on the slatted roofs Set looked around the city. Lighting was crushing down, beams of red light randomly shown down on areas. The sky was red and gave everything a dim red glow. At one side of the city a great armoured giant slammed down on the ground. At another he could see great fog gathered allowing no vision what so ever. Near the gate he could hear screaming and explosions. At the very centre the great mage building stood and gave off a great danger something Set could feel a good mile away. He looked at the building with great understanding. A fight of was happening but not between people. A fight of monsters. However this was not the time to think of this he needed to get Zee to safety. In one direction he could hear an explosion but the conflict was the least there. That was where he needed to get her to. Set remembered a church was in that direction mage must have taken refugee there.

Jumping down onto the old paving he looked at Zee and smiled. “We head for the church of Gord.”

Taking a last gulp of air she smiled and nodded her head. “Ok”
