At one side of the great white wall of Gord knights spewed through the two holes, one from the main gate and the other just to the side of it made from Haya. They ran into the city like mad men hunting and chasing down anything unknown to them the city was now empty. Only a few remained and they remained because they wanted to. At the other side of the wall a great force fought a smaller one. The Asura were mowing down knights left right and centre like they were bugs under a boot. So far from the body count one Asura died to a thousand knights. It was breaking morale and the Asura looked like they weren’t even out of breathe even worse they all had smiles plastered across their face.
“Enjoy this my children, a rare thing for us to be let loose on the world.” Fure’s old voice echoed throughout the battlefield. Using her walking stick as a weapon she broke bones and broke skulls. Evading blows with ease and taunting her enemy when she could.
The other Asura that followed her did the same, a young Asura man laughed as his fist broke through the helmet of an attacking knight. The female Asura if anything were more brutal than the males. One woman snapped both arms of a knight across his spin. All the while they laughed. It was watching a hundred maniacs let loose. To the untrained eye you would think they were not being a team but they were. If one knight was left alone they would be plucked by another Asura. They choose their opponents always looking for the strongest always looking for the best death be it theirs or the enemies.
Colliding with the shield of one knight Fure was stopped in her tracks. As she stepped back to see who could stop her she saw an old beard.
“You will go no further!” Art barked at Fure.
A smile crossed her face and she spoke back with gentle manner. “You are skilled old man, let us dance.”
Bursting forth Fure swung her walking stick to his skull, lowering his dead to dodge Art stabbed forward his sword. Diving to her left Fure narrowly missed the stab to her throat. The smile on her face grew bigger. All around them people were being trampled down upon. Yet in this moment Art and Fure could only see and hear their opponent. Once again they launched at each other. Swiping at Fure as she danced around his blows and Art using his shield to take the pounding Fure was dishing out. His shield could only take a couple more hits, that is what he told himself but the truth was it was his arm that could only take a few more unless he wanted it in pieces. Again Fure stabbed forward Art was too slow and she found an opening between his shield and torso. Flying back deeply winded and spitting blood Art was done. One attack and he was floored.
Spitting out blood Art teared up. “Beaten by some old fart and in one blow no less.”
“There is no shame in that knight; after all you fought on even grounds an Asura, a worthy death.” Said Haya as he plunged his hand into the knight’s head.
Fure looked at him with a little annoyance after all it was her kill not his. Then she noticed Haya and stood in shock. Steam was escaping his bandaged body. It rose out of his like a cooking stove. His usually white eyes red with pupils. His skin all covered in red veins. His smile was large and his teeth sharp.
“What has happened to you!?” Fure demanded to know.
“I don’t have time; just know this is the last time we shall ever meet. Tell the Asura to escape and head to the north city of Yui. Newt will explain once you get there.”
Fure looked at Haya and watched the steam escape into the air and how he was transformed. Yet she knew he didn’t lie this would be the last she saw off him. “Ok for you.”
“Thank you, oh and granny you got old.” Just before the walking stick cracked of his head Haya was gone.
“Little shit,” Looking up at the sky she smiled. “At least you die with eye sight. Stupid boy.” Truning to her blood hungry troop Fure boomed her orders. “Retreat Asura we head north!”
Sighs could be heard filling the air but they listened as fast as they arrived the Asura ran off at impossible speeds. Leaving thousands of knights confused and more than a thousand dead.
