CHAPTER  33.......

Raghav  stood  in  the  dark   and  watched  Rubina  fall   on  seeing   Reshma  Raj...........Rubina  had  turned  pale.........".No  she  thought..it  cannot  be   as   Kalpana  was  dead..........Raghav   did  not  bother  to  move  to  help  his  mother.......Krish   could  see  the  anger  and   bitterness  on  Raghav's  face.........Raghav.s    face   turned  to   Reshma  .....her  face  showed  concern  at  once.....she  rushed  towards  Rubina  and  touched  her  arms........Rubina  screamed  and  pushed  reshma  away   .........Raghav     rushed  forward  and  caught  hold  of  Reshma  ............''Mother   what  is  it  ?..........Raghav  asked  in  mock  concern...........''..Raghav  ........Raghav.........''Rubina  stammered.....while  Krish  helped   her  to  her  feet.........Raghav  still   kept  his  hand  on  Reshma's  shoulder..........This  is  my  mother  Reshma......he   introduced..........loooking  at  a  flushed  Reshma  .......who  seem  to  wonder  why   Raghav Gupta's  mother  pushed  her  away  when  she  tried to help
Get  the  doctor  Krish " ......Raghav   told  krish.........and    walked  his  mother  to  her  room........Rubina  stopped  and  turned  to  look  at   Reshma..............
"Wait  with  Sanjana  miss  Raj......i  will  come  shortly..........saying  these  words  Raghav  moved  away...............Reshma  got  her  glass  of  milk and  went  back  to  Sanjana's  room  and  sat  on  the  child's  bed............while   Sanjana  began  to  fuss  again.........she  hugged  Reshma    '''''don't  ever  go  back  to  heaven  mummy.........daddy  and  i  need  you  here.......daddy   gets  upset   very  often....please  mummy     .....don't  go  away...i  love  you  mummy...................Reshma    hugged   Sanjana.........a  tear  escaped  her..........the  warmth  of  the  tiny  body against     stirred  unexplained  emotions  within  her........Reshma   rocked  the  little  girl    back  and  forth  humming  a  song  which  just  came  to  her........
Raghav    stood    at  the  door way..........a chill  ran  down  his  spine..........it  was  kalpana;s  song........''..oh  why  .?........why  was  this  happening  to  him.........he  longed  to   go  and  just  hug  the  girl  who was   hummimg  to  his  daughter.........
his  legs  carried  him  to  her........." Kal...... errr   Reshma..''.....if  Sanjana  is  asleep  .........you  can  go  to  your  room."..Raghav   said...... Sanjana  was  sound  asleep  in  Reshma's  arms.....and  when  Raghav   lifted  his  daughter.....he  stopped    ...Sanjana;s  tiny  fingers  were  entwined  with  Reshma's.......'' i  love  you  mummy....".....Sanjana   mumbled  in  her  sleep........'''Go  on  to  bed  sir......i  will sleep  with  Sanjana........'Reshma  replied.....and    pulled  the  blanket  over  Sanjana......'''' one  question  sir......why  did  your mother  push me  away.....?.......when  i  tried  to  help.''Reshma  asked  ,wanting  to  know   the  reason  for  Mrs  Gupta"s  hostility  towards  her.....
"Miss  Raj............you  look  like  sir's  wife  Kalpana...........Krish  provided  the  answer....,before  Raghav  could  tell her  anything
"Oh.........Reshma   uttered and  began  fidgeting.....with   the  chain  around  her  neck............she  caught  Raghav's  eyes  fixed  on  her  face........those  smouldering  eyes   captivated  her..she  held  his  gaze.......then   quickly  looked  away  when  she  heard   foot steps   up  the  stairs.........."What  is  happening  here.........it is   3am  in  the  morning..........and  i  just  saw  the  doctor  leave''...............
Reshma  quickly   got  out  of  bed......as  Sunil Gupta  walked  in
woaww.......".Reshma  Raj    ..''.... Sunil  Gupta   ..sounded  excited   .......saying  out  her  name.......Reshma    just  stood  rooted  to  the  floor ..she  did  not expect  Sunil  Gupta   ...........then  later  realised  .she  was  being  silly........they  were all in  Mrs  Gupta's   mansion.....
''Miss Raj  is  here  to   baby sit  Sanjana.....her   dog   went  missing.......and   Madam   fell ill suddenly  ......krish   informed....and  left..............Sunil  Gupta   looked  at   Reshma   ....his  eyes  traveling.......to  her  face......her   hair  falling  over  her  shoulders..........she  looked  lovely............then  he  turned  to  leave......and   saw  Raghav's  eyes  fixed  on  Reshma.......Sunil  clenched  his fist......in  sudden  anger  ...............Reshma  was  his  and  his  only'  he  decided  in  his  head.........
I want  Reshma......."...I  want   Reshma............all  he  could  think   was  Reshma.................she  was   there   in  his  mother's  house  ..all should  fall in  place.......he  would   talk  to  his  mother  about  Reshma..........but  he  needed  to  tread  very  carefully..........where  Raghav  was  concerned.......he  was   always  the  mighty  one.....and      he  would  defeat  him  no  matter  what........
Reshma   locked  the  door  and  settled  back  in  bed    ........she  was  sleepy..........but  she  could  not  sleep......her  mind  wandered  ....the  presence  of  sunil  Gupta   ......made  her  feel  uneasy...........but  at  the  same  time  she  felt  safe  with  Raghav  Gupta.......he  would  never  let anyone    hurt  her.................finally   sleep   came.......reshma  slept   holding  sanjana  close  to  her..............
