STAY IN MY ARMS.

CHAPTER    34...............this  story  is  my  own  fiction.....no copying  or   reproducing   any  parts.........

Rubina    got  out  of  bed.......and    walked  up  to  Sanjana's  room................she  tried  to  open  the   door  but  it  was  locked  from  inside.......she  needed to  know..what  was  happening.....was  the  girl who  tried to help  her.......   Kalpana..............Rubina  needed  answer  ............and  she  needed  it  fast...............trying  once  more  to  open  the door........Rubina    clenched  her  fist.............when  the  door  could  not  be  opened................she  left with an angry sigh............her  blood  pressure  was  returning  to  normal......and  Rubina wondered   where    Raghav  was.............she  showered  and  went  downstairs  in  her  immaculate  self.................
the  maids  were   waiting  for  her...........one of them  served  Rubina  coffee......Rubina  drank  her  coffee   silently while  her   mind  was  working..............Sunil   walked  in    all    bright and  cheerful   ......looking  around   the  dining  hall.....in  search  of   Reshma......she  was  not  there,......Sunil  sat   beside  his  mother  and  laid  a hand  on  her  ..''how  do  feel   mother........baiya   told  me  you  were  unwell last night........''i am   fine   Sunil.........Rubina  said  sternly     and  tapped  her  finger  on  her  coffee  cup........why  was   Sunil    being  so  nice  and  concerned   about  her.............Raghav  arrived      a few  minutes  later........followed  by  Sanjana  holding    Reshma's hand............Sunil    glared  at   Raghav.........while  Krish  the  driver    felt  a  sudden  joy  within  him........Raghav  , .sanjana  baby  and  Reshma   looked   so  perfect   like  a  family................
Raghav  took  his  usuall  place   with  Sanjana  beside  him  on  his  left   ......and  he  made  Reshma  sit  on  his  right...............
''Mother........this  is  miss  Reshma  Raj.........and  she  has  come  to  stay  with  us  for   a while........to  care  for  sanjana........till  nurse   lalitha    comes  back..........
Rubina    gave  a  mock  smile'' i am  sorry  miss  Raj   ,,,,but  you   scared me  last  night...........she  apologised........
''errr  i  am  sorry  too..i did  not  mean  to  frighten  you.......'Reshma    replied  and  bit  into  her  toast   and  caught  Sunil's  eyes  on  her.....she  began  to  fidget........''"Mummy  have  some  honey  on  the  toast.....'Sanjana  said   looking  lovingly  at    Reshma........the  word ' mummy '  irked  Sunil  who  dropped  his  cup  of  coffee..........he  excusd  himself  and  left  in  a huff........Reshma  was  relieved  ..
"so  miss  Raj.......tell  me  about  yourself..........."'Rubina    began  her interogation........
Reshma  related  about  her  parents............who   were  in  Malaysia........for  many  years......before    moving  to   Singapore    and  finally  to   India...........
Raghav  listened  attentively............gazing  at  Reshma...............so  like  his  kalpana...........he  had   a  very  strong   intution  it   was  her......perhaps  she  had lost  her  memory........Raghav   gestured  to  Krish  to  follow  sunil.............Krish  immediately      left  the  house   .......but  could  not   track  Sunil............it  was  like  he  had  vanished   into   thin  air...........Krish  immediately    informed    Raghav  about  Sunil  and  returned  to  the  house......and  kept  a  close  watch  on   Reshma..........without  being  too  obvious.......
Rubina    began  her  sly    chat  .....wanting  to  know  about   this  character......who   resembled    Kalpana...........''Reshma    dear.......can  you  please    go  to  my   room   and  get  me  my  shawl.....i feel  a bit  chilly  here..........
Reshma  stood  at  once   then  stopped............'''The  maid  will  show  you  my  room......."    Rubina  said     ......looking  at  Reshma's hesitation..................Rubina  watched  as    Reshma  gracefully   walked  up  the  stairs.......a  sudden  fear  gripped   Rubina   when  the  girl  stopped  and   turned  and  looked   at   her...........'Is  she   really  Kalpana........come  back  from  the  dead..."'....thought Rubina   ...............
"what  are  you  thinking  Mother..?......" Raghav   startled   his   mother...........on   purpose..............he  had  seen   her  face  turn  pale   when  Reshma  had  stopped   and  turn  to  look  at  her....
" Oh   nothing  at  all......Raghav   "  lied  Rubina.......and    instructed  Sanjana  to  go  to  her  room.............which  she  did  reluctantly.....'' Raghav  what  is  this.......i  heard  Sanjana   calling    Reshma  Raj ' mummy..' ......have  you  taken  leave  of your  senses..Raghav......i will not  allow  such  nonsense     in  this  house........
"Nonsnse.......my  foot.......you   killed  my   kalpana....."     cursed  Raghav......in  his  heart  he  wished  he  could  just    strangle  the  woman  who  had  given  birth  to  him.........and   this evil   women   definetly  hired   goons  to  finish   Sureka   Patel  off..when  she  had   been  keen  to  give  information  on  who  had  tried  to  hurt  kalpana............
Reshma   came  with  the  shawl  Rubina  had  asked   for  and  gave  it  to  her.........''where  is  sanju...?"  she  asked  before  she  could  stop  herself....she  was  begining  to  get attached  to  the  little  angel...
"sanjana  is  in  her  room......you  may  go  upstairs  miss  Raj.............there  is  nothing   downstairs   that  needs   your  attention......and   has  my  daughter  asked  for  her  dog.......Chester......?...
she  started  crying   in  the  middle  of  the  night   ........i  had  to  lock  the  room   ,,,,,i was  afraid   she  would  just     go  out  of  her  room   in  search   for   Chester......" replied  Reshma   and  suddenly  felt  a chill down  her  spine  when  she  caught  Rubina's  eyes  glare  at  her.......... Raghav   .sensing  her  discomfort  gently  put  his  hand  on  her  shoulder  .......and  he   in  turn     turned  to  look at   Rubina .who  looked  away  quickly   ..........
''go   .......upstairs   .....'' Raghav   gestured  to    Reshma  and  waited  till  she   went  to Sanjana's  room......Raghav  then  signalled   Krish  to  go  upstairs..........
'' I will  be  away  for a few  hours  Krish.......stay  close  to  Reshma...and  Sanjana ......get    one  of  the  maids  to   stay   in   the  room  with  them  ..............and  i want  one  security  personnel......on  the    first floor............
"I  will  take  care  of  everything  Raghav...............''Replied  Krish  and  immediately  summoned   a  security  personnel  and  stationed  him  on  the  first  floor.............and     a maid  to  be  with  Reshma and  Sanjana.........
Raghav  drove  to  the  police  station   and  was  in  conversation  with  the  police  inspector.........later  he  left  for  his  office.........and  was  busy  with  work     ......his  mind  was  at ease   ......he  knew  Krish , his  chauffer.......would  protect  his  child  and  miss   Raj  with  his  life............Rubina  was  capable  of  anything.........
Raghav   was  tied  up  in  an  important  meeting  with  a client.........and  later  closed  a  big  business deal...............
he   relaxed   ......loosened  his  tie.........stretched  his  legs  on  his  table......head  resting  on  his  hands .....he  leaned  back  in  his  seat   and  closed  his  eyes........he  could  see    Reshma  and   his  daughter......it  was  a perfect  picture........while    back  in  Sanjana.s room   ..sanjana  spread  out  her  little  treasure  box........and  excitedly  explained  what  each   item  meant........Reshma   gently  kissed  Sanjana's  head  and  hugged  the  child  close  to  her......and   felt  a   warm   feeling   touch  her  body  when  her  thoughts  wondered  to  the  father  of  this  little  girl.........Raghav Gupta   ...why  was  she   drawn  to  him..............what was  happening  to  her ?            .......to  be  continued................please  do  leave  your  precious  comments.........and    votes....Thank  you.......Evelyn
