It All Began In Paris

Chapter 6

**Jenny's POV**

It was the middle of the night when I woke up. I checked the time using my cell and it read 0200.

Jethro was fast asleep beside me. His arm was wrapped tightly around my waist and my back was pressed against his front. I was ecstatic.

"Mom. Help!" Sophie screamed with the same urgency as when she was kidnapped.

I struggled to get out of Jethro's grip but couldn't.

"MOM!" Sophie screamed at the top of her lungs.

Jethro woke with a jolt and grabbed his gun from under his pillow before letting go of me.

"Jen, stay here." Jethro whispered and then left to go to Sophie.

I sat up in bed worrying like crazy. I was so worried that something had happened to Sophie.

**Gibbs' POV**

I left Jen in bed. I went towards Sophie's room with my gun raised. I slowly opened the door and saw Sophie.

She had tears streaming down her face and a pained expression on her face. I let out a breath I didn't realise I was holding when I noticed all that was wrong was she was having a bad dream.

I went over to Sophie and shook her gently.

"Please don't hurt me. Please Mr Smith. Please." Sophie cried.

"Sweetheart it's me. Your daddy." I whispered and kissed her forehead.

"Daddy!" Sophie squealed happily as her eyes flew open. She wrapped her arms around my neck and held me tightly.

"It's okay sweetheart. Daddy's here. You're okay. You're safe now. Daddy's got you. You're okay." I whispered to her reassuringly as Sophie sobbed into my neck.

I picked her up and carried her into the bedroom I shared with Jen.

"Is Sophie alright? What happened?" Jenny asked nervously.

"I had a bad dream mommy." Sophie said tiredly.

"Come here and sleep with mommy." Jenny said.

I placed Sophie in bed beside Jen before getting into bed on the other side of Jen.

"When can I sleep with mommy?" I whispered into Jenny's ear seductively.

Her back was pressed against my front and my arm was around her waist.

"Be good and we'll see." Jenny whispered back before snuggling herself closer to me.

"Goodnight Jen. I love you." I said and held her tightly.

"Goodnight Jethro. I love you too." She said and yawned.

"Goodnight mom. Goodnight dad." Sophie said causing Jen and I to laugh slightly.

"Goodnight sweetie." Jen said and kissed her head.

"Goodnight baby girl." I said and moved my arm from Jenny's waist and stretched it so that it was around both of them.

We all fell asleep in a matter of seconds. I couldn't wait until Jen had become Jenny Gibbs. I fell asleep with a massive smile on my face and the rest of the night I dreamt of Jenny, Sophie and the family we are and what we could become.

"Good morning mommy." Sophie said, waking me up.

"Morning sweetheart." I said and kissed her forehead.

That was when I realised that Jethro wasn't beside me in bed anymore.
