Chapter 27

**Gibbs' POV**

Jenny and I had now got home from the airport.

"She's never going to call me mom again." Jenny said to me with tears in her eyes.

"I'm sorry Jen." I told her and hugged her.

"Don't be. I made my bed. Now I have to lie in it." She said.

"Why didn't you come back after you had found out that Svetlana was dead?" I asked her. That was one thing I couldn't understand. She didn't come back to us.

Jenny explained everything to me about how she felt like she would be intruding. I just hugged her and held her close when she had finished.

I knew that her relationship with Sophie would never be the same. My relationship with Sophie would never be the same either. Since Jenny has returned, I had barely seen Sophie and now she had left.

1 Hour Later...

**Sophie's POV**

The three of us had just landed in Boston. We got off the plane and made our way to baggage claim. Most of our things would be arriving in a few days.

"So my friend Mary is picking us up. She's our neighbour and is married with a son. He's actually the same age as you guys. He goes to Phillips Academy and has been there since he was old enough to start school." Mom said.

"Is he coming to pick us up also?" Emily asked.

"No but Mary asked if we wanted to go to their house for dinner tonight. I said I would check with you guys. You guys would meet him and his father this evening." Mom said.

"Yeah we'll go round for dinner." Emily said excitedly.

She was looking forward to meeting a new boy. She had never had a boyfriend. Not because people didn't want to be with her romantically, simply because she was never really that interested in them.

I didn't care about meeting any new guys. Sure it would be fun living with and going to school with lots of guys but I was hung up on Jake and I would be for a very long time.

Mom just laughed.

"Okay now let's head out. Mary's waiting for us already." Mom said and we headed out to the pick up area.

**Jacqueline's POV**

"Oh my god I've missed you!" I said and wrapped my arms around Mary.

"I've missed you too Jackie. It's so nice to have you back." Mary said and hugged me back. Then Mary pulled away and looked at the girls.

"This must Sophie and Emily." Mary said and went over to the girls. She hugged them both.

"So are you guys up for coming round for dinner tonight?" Mary asked the girls.

"We sure are. I can't wait to meet everyone." Emily said, unable to hide her excitement.

"And I'm sure that everyone will be super excited to meet you also." Mary said. When she said everyone like that, she was talking about her son, James. Mary had told me that he was a ladies man.

**Sophie's POV**

The house was wonderful. Emily and I shared an en-suite and had rooms on either side of the bathroom. It was great. Mom's room had it's own en-suite and she was across the corridor from us.

From Emily's bedroom window you could see into the street. From mine you could see into a bedroom in Mary's house. I didn't know whose bedroom it was. I hoped that it wasn't James' bedroom because I didn't have any inclination to get to know any new guys.
