It All Began In Paris

Chapter 22

It had been a week since the party. It was Sophie's birthday. It was the day that the team had been planning for a while.

**Sophie's POV**

"Happy Birthday To You. Happy Birthday To You. Happy Birthday To Sophie. Happy Birthday To You." A voice I loved sang.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw my wonderful boyfriend beside me with an envelope and a bouquet of red roses. I couldn't even count how many roses there were because there were so many.

"Happy birthday baby." He said and kissed my nose.

"When did you arrive?" I asked him.

"Well, since it's your birthday, I figured you would want to get up super early. I never left last night. I stayed downstairs so that I could be here when you woke up or I could be the one to wake you." He told me. I smiled and kissed his lips.

"I may need more than that babe. The couch isn't exactly the softest thing in the world." He joked.

"Maybe later if you're lucky." I grinned.

"Come on. Let's head downstairs." He told me. I got out of bed and then realised he still hadn't given me my envelope.

He knew I would try to take t from him and so he held it high in the air since I'm shorter than him. I kept jumping to try and get it but I couldn't reach.

"You're so impatient baby girl." He laughed.

"And you know I am. So give me my card." I told him. He passed it to me. I sat down on my bed and opened it.

The card had a picture of us on our first date on the front. I opened the card and began reading.

Dearest Sophie,
It may be your birthday, but I sure as hell am the one getting the gift. I get the gift of you. I can't believe how lucky I am to have you in my life.

We've only been together for 7 weeks but I know that we will be together for a lot longer. I love you baby so much. You will never know how much I truly love you.

So today is all about you, your wish is my command. As soon as you finish reading this, tell me your first wish for the day and I'll make it come true.

I love you so much. Hopefully this is the first birthday of many that we get to spend together.

"Thank you!" I whispered through my tears of happiness and hugged him tightly.

"You're welcome baby girl. Now what's your first wish?" He asked me.

"A kiss from you." I told him.

"Your wish is my command." He said. Then he kissed me tenderly and pinned me to my bed. We made out for a while before Emily came to get us.

"Everyone's waiting for you." She said.

"We'll be right down." I said and she left. Jake left a few moments after her and I changed into an outfit for the day. Since I was at home, I threw on my ripped jean shorts and a white tee.

As I walked into the kitchen, everyone was singing happy birthday to me. There was a cake in the middle of the table with sixteen candles on it.
