Part 16

Alex's POV

I wake up to someone poking my rib cage I shove the hand away only to hear a whine. I open my eyes to see a little girl about the age of seven staring at me. I sit up looking around seeing I was still in the garage and I passed out on the couch.

"Who are you" she asks I yawn fixing my tank top. "I'm Alex and you are" I stand up going over to the car "Sidney" she smiles at me following me over to the car. "I'm Chase's sister" she says I look over at her "I'm Chase's cousin so I guess you're my cousin too" I smile that little girl she smiled back.

"Why are you up so early" I ask looking at the clock on the wall that says 5 am. "The garage light was on" she shrugs I nod "you're pretty" she says and I giggle "you're pretty too" I smile grabbing a wrench putting the hood of my car up. "Not like you" she mumbles and I look at her curiously.

"Well how about we go shopping later and get to know each other better" I smile handing her the wrench. "Wanna help?" I ask she hands it back "Chase says I'm not aloud even be in here" she mumbles sitting on the couch "Chase doesn't like me very much" she shrugs. I sigh "come here Sid" she stands up and I hand her the wrench "you just can't be in here playing. These are not toys there tools so be careful" I point to a piece "loosen that" I tell her and she did surprising well as she does everything I ask.

Her hands get greasy and she moves to wipe them on her night gown I take her hands using my shirt to clean them off. I go to my bag handing her a T-shirt "put this on" I go to the door standing outside of it so she could change. She pushes the door open and I go in the shirt went down to her knees making me smile at how small she was.

I continue to let her help me as we listen to music and talk about dumb things. When the garage door opens and Chase comes in panic written across his face until he see's Sid and I. "Dammit Sidney what have I told you about being in here" he sighs and Sid looks at me handing me back wrench.

"Sorry Chase" she mumbles looking down "Chase it was my fault she told me she wasn't aloud in here and I asked her for help anyways" I shrug. "She could have gotten hurt" he groans "I was here the whole time I wouldn't have let that happen plus she needs to know this stuff" I defend he sighs rubbing his temples.

"Alright girls head inside and get cleaned up its time for breakfast" he says clapping his hand twice as a way to tell us to hurry. I grab her nightgown picking her up "alright we're going no need to rush is" I smile kissing his cheek and Sid kisses his other cheek. "Morning brother" she smiles hugging me tightly as I carry her into the house.

We go wash up and change racing down the stairs "I win I win" she screams as soon as she reaches the bottom step. I run to Chase tapping his shoulder "nope I won I touched Chase first" I smirk "no that wasn't the rules" she crosses her arms. I smile and she touches everyone that was sitting at the table "nope I win I touched everyone at the table" she says smugly.

"Alright girls sit down, Sidney won" Chase says and I giggle sitting beside Chase and Jason. Drew sets pancakes in front of me giving me a wink I giggle rolling my eyes he sets a plate in front of Sid ruffling her hair. He continues to set plates in front of people until he gets to his spot we have a light conversation while we eat.

A couple hours later we were all in the garage drinking a beer while Sid was drinking a juice box working on the two cars. We were blaring the music the garage door open letting in the sun warm the garage. "Hey boys and female that is unknown" a guy with about five foot 7 wearing black jeans with a tank and black shaggy hair leaned against the garage door winking at me.

I walk over to him extending my hand out "it's Alex" I smirk "Cadence" he smiles kissing my hand. "I highly suggest you never do that again" I groan taking my hand away and wipe it on my jeans. He grabs my hand again going to kiss it and I grip his wrist putting it behind his back shoving him into the wall. "I told you not to that again" I growl in his ear I can hear Jason and Chase laughing in the background.

"I suggest you apologize to the lady" Drew smirks and I look behind me smiling at him "okay okay I'm sorry Alex was it I'm sorry" he panics and I let go. "Good deal now you want a beer" I walk to the mini fridge he nods and I take one out tossing it to him.

We continue to work on cars for a while longer before Sid pulls on my shirt I look down at her kneeling beside her. "What's up" I smile fixing her t shirt "can we go shopping now" she asks blushing I nod standing up.

"Aye guys I'm taking Sid shopping" I say Chase looks up tossing me a wallet "have fun" I nod taking Sids hand leading her out to Chases car getting in. I set her in her booster seat making she's in and get in driving away smiling in the review mirror at the guys all working together.
