TW - Panic attack and mentions of bullying

It was the day before Ouran Fair, a two-day school fair where we students show off our leadership skills in planning a huge party for our parents and the parents of other students at our school. When I first heard about this, I thought it was going to be like the school fairs at my old schools where each class sets up their event and make everything by hand. So, I was surprised when I was assigned to the kitchen and was in charge of supervising the chefs making the baked sweets for the school's two day fair. I was a bit nervous taking up a huge leadership role, but I realized that this was perfect practice in real life to see where I am at for when I take over the family bakery.

I sighed, my legs getting tired from standing up for the past few hours and taking with other chefs, examining the menus and crossing items off and adding stuff on as well as helping them out to make some of the menu items on the list. It might be easy, but it was exhausting. "Mayuri?" A voice asked.

I turned around to see Haruhi behind me. "Oh, hello Haruhi," I greeted him.

"So, there you are," Haruhi replied. "I was starting to wonder where you were, since I didn't see you outside." He laughed, "Why am I not surprised to see you in the kitchen?"

I glanced at the chefs at work, seeing that none of them were having any trouble and no one was coming up to me to discuss the menu so I stepped to the side and sighed, "You know, I thought this Ouran Fair was going to be about each class selecting and making their own attraction in their classroom, not us planning a huge party for our parents."

"Same here!" Haruhi nodded. "School fairs are  supposed to be more, I don't know, homemade-looking, like we've made everything on our own?"

"You both are talking about looks in general," Kyoya was in the kitchen and I whipped around, slightly surprised at his appearance. I didn't see him step in or talk with the other chefs or students in here. "What gets emphasized at Ouran Fair is planning and leadership," He continued. "Most of the students here are expected to be future leaders by nature, so they are required to impress everyone with their strengths."

Tamaki stuck his head inside the kitchen. "Oh!" He said. "There you are, Kyoya and Haruhi! Come, come! We're rehearsing for Ouran Fair's special parade!"

"You two better go," I laughed, glancing to the side to see a chef approaching me with another menu of items to look over.

"Yeah," Haruhi smiled. "See you around."

"Goodbye," I nodded curtly as the two left the kitchen and I turned my attention back to the chef that approached me.
