TW - Use of homophobic slurs, offensive insults, self-harm and mentions of bullying
Salty chapter :/
I arrived on scene at school as usual with Hikaru and Kaoru. The events of the date were still fresh on my mind, but as much as I love to hug the life out of Haruhi right here, right now, I can't. I am at school, and no one, except for me and the Host Club, knows of Haruhi's true identity. She is a boy to the school, and I can't all lovey-dovey wth her as the school thinks that even though I know she is secretly a girl. Plus, her being a Host will cause jealousy with female students and that won't help either of our cases either. Also, I respect the fact and her reasons to keeping that a secret.
As we entered the school hallway, there was a crowd of students gathered around a wall. Hikaru, Kaoru, Haruhi, and I stared at the crowd in curiosity. What or who has caught the attention of several students that it caused them to gather? I noticed a few stared at me and whispered to their peers and I got anxious. Did it involve me in some way? Was it good or bad? When I saw what they were staring at, my eyes widened as my pupils dilated. I was right to be concerned when I saw them stare at me.
A picture of Haruhi and I sharing our goodbye kiss after our date was blown up to the size of a poster and taped on the wall. There wasn't any blurs or pixels over our faces. The picture was enlarged and shamelessly hung on the wall for everyone to see.
In a panic, I quickly tore the poster down, not caring if it was came off clean or not, holding the crumpled ball of paper in my hands. Hikaru hesitantly tapped my shoulder. "That's not the only one," he whispered.
As I looked down the hallway, sure enough, at every turn, corner, and any large empty space of wall in the hallway were more blown up posters of Haruhi and I kissing. There were smaller clusters of students gathered around them, staring at the posters as well with mixed expressions. They must be all over the school by now! There's no way I could tear all of them down by myself without missing a few hidden away from me!
I thought hard about those posters. How on earth did somebody captured a picture of me and Haruhi kissing?! They must have been actively stalking us on our date. I recalled that burning feeling on the back of my neck during our date in the ice cream parlor. That must of been them watching us on our date, and that's how they got the photo of us kissing. But who?! Who did it?
Suddenly, I remembered Yuna's words clearly: "I'm keeping an eye on you, Mayuri. That's what lovers do, correct?"
It was her. Yuna stalked Haruhi and I during our date and took that photo of us. I thought what she told me during that meeting was an empty threat and convinced myself to believe it, but she was serious. Serious enough to make me flee the school and force myself back into the old public school I used to go to.
