Hello my wonderful StormClouds!!!  I hope you guys all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! (And also any other holidays you may have celebrated.  I don't mean to exclude anyone.)  How was the holidays for you?  Did you do anything special?

I wanted to try to have this out before Christmas but I ended up being way too busy during break to complete it in time.  I just got back to college last night, but I have a feeling that January is going to be a fairly easy month for me.  And since I've been able to get back into the swing of writing this story again, I expect to update again really soon.

I apologize in advance for this chapter being kind of short, and also for my lack of basketball knowledge... (I'm not into sports at all.)

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Ryan's POV:

I dribble the basketball as I determine my next move. I'm currently at the park with Benny and a few of his friends playing a 3 on 3 game. I've never been much for playing sports, but it's a great way to spend time with the guys on a Friday afternoon. I notice Benny is trying to sneak around the blonde kid, Ed. I fake as if I'm going to throw the ball to my other teammate, Jake, but at the last second, I throw the ball toward Benny. He catches and dribbles around Ed, managing to score our team one more point.

"Alright, it's tied up, four points each," Ed says. "I think now would be a good time for a drink break."

The six of us walk away from the basketball court and sit on the benches next to the park's drinking fountain.

"So you say you don't play sports?" Ed asks me.

"No, not really," I reply honestly.

"I find that hard to believe," he says. "You seem pretty athletic to me."

"Thanks, man," I say. I realize at this point that I left my water bottle over by the basketball court.  Of course I can just get a drink from the fountain, but I want to refill my bottle so I don't need to walk all the way across the park again later. I make my way back over to the court, and retrieve my bottle, taking a drink of what water is still inside. Before I turn to go back to the guys, I hear a quiet rustling sound from around the corner of a house next to the park. I don't think anything of it as it's probably just the homeowner in his yard, but then there is a thud, accompanied by a short gasp of pain, followed by the clanging of a metal trashcan falling on the concrete.

That sounds a bit concerning.

I walk around the corner of the house, just to check and make sure whoever is there is okay. But oddly enough, nobody is there. All I find is the metal trashcan still rolling side to side on the driveway. Several pieces of trash are strewn around it.

Odd...

As I'm about to walk back to the drinking fountain, I'm suddenly lifted off the ground and the scenery around me blurs as I'm taken away from the park at an incredible speed. Before I have time to process much of anything that is going on, the world comes back into focus and I realize that I'm back home in my own front yard.

"Kyleigh?" I ask, when I see her step in front of me at the same time that I realize she has brought me here. "What are you doing?"

"I want you to be home," she says.

"I was a little busy with something before you stole me away like that," I state.

A playful smile appears on her lips as she says, "Maybe I stole you away because I missed you."
