I got another chapter up and it only took a few days this time!! Yay! I hope you guys enjoy. I've been waiting to get to this part in the story because it gets really interesting from this point on. Once again, I haven't edited it. Honestly I'll just save the editing for when my story is done because I want to get the chapters out as soon as I finish. I don't want to keep you guys waiting anymore.

Kyleigh's POV:

As I wake up, I feel my cheek pressed against cold concrete.  Slowly returning to consciousness, I find myself lying on the cement floor of a dimly lit cell.  The reality of the situation hits me instantly as I remember the mission going horribly wrong because of Vita.  In a sudden panic, I rush toward the metal door trapping me inside and search for a weak point.  The wide door is made of heavy steel and a portion of it is cut out as a makeshift window, blocked by metal vertical bars.  I push against the door and unsurprisingly, it doesn't budge.  Next, I grab one of the bars with both hands and yank as hard as I can, hoping to wiggle it out of place somehow.  Putting in a bit of my powers, I repeatedly yank at the bar in extremely quick motions, but still it doesn't move.

"It's no use," a voice behind me says.  Surprised, I turn to find Ellie in the cell with me, sitting in the corner.  "I tried all that about half an hour ago."

"I didn't know they put us in a cell together.  What are we supposed to do now? Have you tried calling for help?" I ask before I glance down at my left wrist and realize that my communicator has been removed. Of course, why would they let us keep those? I also notice that I've been stripped of my wig, allowing my brunette hair and white streak flow freely down my shoulders.

"We have no way to contact Headquarters, Ky..." she says, sounding defeated.

"Then what are we supposed to do?  Just wait around like prisoners?"

"Well... yeah, that's exactly what we need to do right now," she responds, a bit to my surprise.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"There's no point wasting energy escaping when we have no form of escape.  Save it for when the chance arises."

"I guess that makes sense," I say, giving up with the door and joining Ellie in the corner.  After sitting in silence for a few minutes, I ask, "Ellie, have we failed?"

"Of course not, Ky," she says.  "This is definitely not the first time a mission has gone wrong, and as agents, we are smart enough and well equipped to make it out of these situations.  You just need to keep faith.  We don't know what will happen, but we need to stay focused and prepared for anything."

"Yeah, you're right. Can I ask another question?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"Do you think I'm actually cut out to be an agent?  I mean, yeah, I have superpowers and all, and I've gone through the training, but there's a part of me that just feels like I'm failing."

"Honestly, you're one of the fastest learning agents I've worked with.  And the super powers are definitely a bonus, but I'm not sure why you doubt yourself.  Is it because of our current situation?"

"Partially, I guess... but it's more than that.  I guess I've just had this feeling deep down for awhile that I'm not really cut out to be an agent, or a super hero.  I keep saying that I want to get rid of these powers, like they only bring trouble into my life.  And I guess that's just the cost of being a superhero, but I don't know how to manage it.  It was kind of all thrown onto me all at once."
