Hello my lovely readers!! I hope you enjoy this next chapter. I also included a song with this chapter: Lightning by Little Mix. The song really has nothing to do with the story other than the title, but I've been obsessed with this song since the new Little Mix album came out last November, so enjoy!

Also, I'm going to start giving dedications to you guys for being such awesome readers.  I'll be dedicating all my previous chapters to you guys too and possibly chapters from the first book if I feel like it.  I'm sorry that I can't give everyone a dedication, but I'll be giving them out to those of you who have been voting for and/or commenting on my chapters.  I appreciate all of you and I'm amazed that there are so many of you.  Thunder has reached over 21k views and thats an insanely large number to me, so thank you guys so much!

I need a fandom name to call you guys.  Anyone out there want to make one up so I can call you guys something other than "you guys?"

Anyway, this note just got really long... On with the story!

Kyleigh's POV

One missed call.  One new voicemail.  Five unread text messages.

Ryan:  You at school yet?

Ryan:  Where are you?

Caitlyn:  Hey, Ky.  Tell me when you get here.

Kathryn: Ryan seems worried about you.  Where are you?

Ryan:  I don't think Kathryn liked me...
Also, where the heck are you?!

My phone seems flooded with messages when I finally get the courage to look through it. I sigh as I consider what to tell them. 1.) I can't tell them I'm at M.U.F.F.I.N.S. because it's top secret. 2.) Both Ryan and Kathryn know I wasn't too thrilled about the idea of being forced into public at school. Plus after that incident yesterday, I don't want to put anyone at school in danger.

I send a single text to Ryan, simply saying: Don't worry, I didn't run away. I did mention the idea to him last week and he probably would jump straight to that conclusion if I didn't reply soon. Then, I turn my phone on silent, allowing me to ignore everyone at school while I spend my time on a more serious issue.

"Dr. Carson!" I shout, getting the man's attention as he is about to walk toward one of the exits.

"You know you can call me Matthew," he chuckles.  "What are you doing here so early in the morning?"

"I've got something serious I need to talk to you about."

"Oh?  Well, I have a 'job' in the hospital upstairs," he responds.  "See if Vita has shown up yet and talk to her about it.  Otherwise, if it's life or death, I'll head back down here as soon as possible."

"Oh, okay," I say as Dr. Carson leaves.  I hurry over to the front desk.  "Has Vita checked in yet?"  I ask, desperate to talk to someone.

"I don't think so, dear," the woman whose name I haven't bothered to learn yet says.  "I'll tell her to come find you when she arrives if you'd like."

"Yes, please," I reply before I walk away.  Now who do I talk to?  I'd trust Tats, but I don't think he shows up until the afternoon usually, and even then, he isn't here every day either.

Then I remember one last option.  I mean I could just sit patiently and wait for Vita to show up or Dr. Ca-- Matthew to come back, but I've been mentally freaking out ever since the incident.  So I decide to search for Brian.  If nobody else, I suppose he'd at least listen.
