Kyleigh's POV

Ryan and I race down the hall, returning to the main fight. There is significantly less going on now than there was before. Several agents have given up fighting or have retreated to be more defensive instead of offensive, on both the M.U.F.F.I.N.S. side and the ANIME side. I take out the earpieces since I have no need for them right now, setting them on a ledge on the wall. Now that I have a good idea of how to detain the enemies, I tell Ryan to help our agents while I make my way to Dr. Carson. I quickly explain to him how we stopped Vita and Abigale and that I have an idea to stop the other agents, but we are going to need a lot of handcuffs, rope, or anything else that will work in the moment to detain the enemies while we figure out what exactly to do with all of them. He and I manage to escape from the battle momentarily to collect supplies, grabbing whatever we can use for now to stop ANIME.

When we return, I first go toward the enemies that appear to have more stamina left than the others, stunning them with my lightning powers and tying them down with the supplies Dr. Carson and I collected. A few other M.U.F.F.I.N.S. agents catch on to what we are doing and grab items from Dr. Carson that they are able to use to prevent the enemies from fighting any longer.

Within a matter of minutes, the battle is over. Detained enemies are strewn all over the room, though several M.U.F.F.I.N.S. agents are working on taking as many of them as they can over to the few cells we have at M.U.F.F.I.N.S. HQ. Vita and Abigale have already been secured in one of the cells, so I have no fear of Vita controlling me any longer.

Some of the agents begin congregating in one corner of the room. I join them and notice that Ryan is making his way over here as well. Tosh pats me on the back and says, "Good work, Rookie."

"Thanks, man," I respond. "You did great, too."

"Kyleigh, catch!" I hear behind me. I turn and find that Tats has tossed a water bottle my way. I manage to catch it easily and I take a big drink from it. He is probably the person I have gotten to know best during my time here at M.U.F.F.I.N.S. considering I trained with him on a nearly daily basis.

"I have to say, I was really impressed with you today, kid," Dr. Carson says looking toward Ryan.

"It was nothing, Doc," Ryan replies.

Dr. Carson continues, "We don't normally do things this way, but I was just thinking, there may be a place for you on our team. If you're interested."

"What? Really?" he asks, surprised.

Dr. Carson smiles. "Yes, really."

"Well, uh, I suppose I'll think about it," Ryan answers.

It puts a smile on my face to see that Dr. Carson's opinion about Ryan has changed so quickly.

I receive a tap on my shoulder. It's Camri. "Kyleigh, we'd like you to come to an examination room for us to run a couple tests and figure out what exactly ANIME did to you and Ellie."

"Oh, of course!" I respond and follow Camri away from the others. We reach a medical room where Ellie is already sitting down. Brian and a couple agents that I don't know are in here as well to help I'm assuming.

For the next several minutes, Camri and the others take a close look at the back of my neck. They find out that some small device was implanted under my skin, and the same was true for Ellie. They took a small blood sample from near the area and Brian takes it to the lab to test it.
