I was surrounded by darkness. The air felt heavy and it was hard to breathe. I suddenly felt icy cold water pouring over me. A loud sound shook the air, followed by a flash. I was standing out in the night, in the midst of a thunder storm. The flash of light did not leave, but acted as a huge flashlight. In front of me stood 5 shadowy figures. They looked as black as the dead of night, except for one of them. The figure looked to be fading away. I let out a scream as I cowered in the cold rain.

I woke up with a jolt, still screaming. A door bolted open, and a lady rushed to my side. I was breathing heavily, and sweating like crazy.

"Shhh, Tabitha it's okay!" I noticed that a lamp had been turned on, making me squint.

"Where am I?" I couldn't help but ask. I didn't know this lady, and I had never seen this room before. She sighed and sat down on the edge of the bed.

"You had quite the fall at school, and now you are at the hospital." That's when I noticed that my leg was raised in a cast. She motioned towards my leg.

"This leg took most of the impact, but it will heal eventually." Eventually? I don't wanna be here forever!

"Did you have a bad dream?" She asked, changing the subject. I nodded my head.

"Okay, I'll bring you some tea and let you get back to sleep." She got up and quietly closed the door behind her. This nurse was acting like this wasn't a huge deal. What did this dream mean? Was everybody else okay?

I wanted to get up and see them, but the leg made it kind of hard. Also, it was the middle of the night. I wanted to scream with frustration. The cast was heavy and weighed my leg down. The nurse came back in, a cup of steaming tea in her hands.

"Hopefully this will help you sleep." She handed me the cup as I gave her a fake smile. She left the room, and the smile left my face. I was so angry, I threw the cup of tea on the floor, the cup shattering into millions of pieces.

Looking over at the side table, I noticed my phone sitting there. I quickly grabbed it turned it on. No new messages. I got an Idea. Since I couldn't get around, I decided that I would communicate with the others by texting them. I quickly opened a group chat that we had created, and typed a message:

"Hey guys, is everyone okay? I can't leave my room because I broke my leg during the fall. Anybody have anything that I need to know?"

I pushed the send button and then waited for a message back. It had been about five minutes before I got a notification.

Emily: "I'm doing okay. Just a few broken ribs and a broken nose. What's your room number? I need to talk to you in person!"

I told her my room number, and she was coming to see me. I really hoped that she didn't get caught by a doctor or nurse. I waited for what seemed like hours, but in reality it had only been 10 minutes. I looked up to see the door slowly creaked open, and Emily's head peered in. She rushed over to the bed and threw her arms around me.

"God I missed you so much!" It was nice to see a friend again. She sat on the edge of the bed, careful not to sit on my leg. Emily did not hesitate to speak again.

"I was able to sneak a visit with Carter." I waited for her to go on. It would be good to know how everybody was doing. She sighed before looking down at her feet.

"He's in a coma." She said quietly. I nearly gasped. Would this mean that the others were not okay? Emily looked like she was about to cry. Before she could say anything else, there was a loud thundering in the hallway. Emily got up and pulled the door wide open.

We were shocked to see Liam, running full speed down the hall.......
