After dinner we had to pack up our stuff and move into the orphanage. We were some of the oldest orphans there ans since this was a mixed orphanage we were surprised it was very tidy.

“Hello! Welcome to the orphanage girls let me show you to your rooms.” A helper named Lily a couple of years older than us said as an older lady bought our bags up.

“I'll visit you tomorrow girls and see how you'r settling in. but goodnight for now” Rosa hugged us and left the orphanage after doing our enrollment papers and stuff.

“Right so Georgia you'r in here.” Lily stopped us outside room 13.

“I'd prefer to be called Georgie” Georgie explained.

“Ok we'll take that into account.” And she wrote something down on what I guessed was our forms.

“Right and Lola this is your room.” Lily opened the door to room 15 to find a sleeping toddler in the room.

“Whoops sorry that's Harry's room.” And she lead me over to room 17 next door to Harry.

“So if you've already figured out the doors are numbered like a street and upstairs is the same” She pointed up the stairs at the end of the corridor.

“And just beside the stairs you turn into another corridor that has the bathrooms, TV lounge, nursery, study and down the end is the kitchen and the hall where we have meals. All the staff rooms are mixed around the facility in case something happens. Mine is room 32 two floors up near the end on the right. I'll leave you to settle down and i'll tell you more when I see you in half an hour or so. We let the older kids have tea and cookies after the little ones go to bed at 7. so just go to the TV lounge once your settled in and i'll give you your TV credits.” She finishes with a smile.

Georgie and I say thanks and since Georgie went off first she helps me un pack.

“It seems nice here. And when I was looking at the rooms trying to find where you were a couple of them were vacant. So some might've already gone. We could have new parents and live together in a happy family!” Georgie was getting all happy now at the though of a happy family.

“Lets go down to the TV lounge.” I quickly explained to Georgie about cookies and stuff as we went through the maze of doors with names on them till we got to the TV lounge.

The government must of given the orphanage a lot of money while building this place because this room was fantastic! A miniature cinema filled up most of the room . Beanbags and couches were strewn across the room and a side room filled with snack foods and a small table was on the far left of the room.

Right now the lights were up and some kids around our ages were sitting on bean bags arranged in a circle and were chatting while some held cookies or pieces of cake and others held cups of tea or something that looked like hot chocolate.

“Here they are! Everyone attention please!” Lily clapped her hands and all these faces turned towards us.

“Okay so where are the other bean bags? Here okay Georgie and Lola there you go sit down there and since we have new people here we are going o go around in the circle and say our name, age and favourite flavour ice cream K?” Okay Serena you go first!” Lily sat down beside me with a thump on her bean bag, taking a sip of a strawberry smoothie. This was who was in the group of older kids:

“Okay i'm Serena, i'm 13 years old and I love strawberry and cream ice cream!”

“I'm Indie, I'm 15 and I love cookies and cream ice cream”

“I'm Jake, i'm 16 and I like orange chocolate chip ice cream”

“Hey that Jake from Gym!” Georgie whispers quietly in my ear. I never knew he was an orphan.
