Lola's POV!:

I didn't remember to bring any soccer gear as I left it when I moved into the orphanage so I had to use Coles. It was huge.

"I feel like a droopy teddy bear" I whined as Cole and I stood in front of the mirror looking at me. I had bought my nike shoes with cleats thankfully. They're orange and originally for guys but all I though was 'What the heck!' When I bought them.

"Lets practice" He took me out of the dorm and raced me to the field. He won.

"HA LOSER!" He shook his fists in the air in victory while I stood there moping like a sad sock puppet.

"But your a guy your supposed to run faster then girls!" I defended.

"Eh." He stopped laughing and shrugged.

"But you could be faster than me. Or any of the other guys you'll be playing against at soccer games" He grinned.

"I'm gonna be your personal trainer!"

"You make sound as though it's a good thing" I say sarcastically as we practise dribbling the ball between ourselves. I take a shot at the goal and it slides through past Coles outstreched hands.

"Nice!" He yells as I glimpse other guys coming down onto the field. A whistle blows on the other side of the field.

"HIGHLAND! DEVON! GET OVER HERE!" The coach yells as we sprint over to the coach.

"You trialled yesterday." He points at Cole.

"Yeah I was just practising"

"That's what I like to hear! Now go get some rest!" He points to the dorms as Cole jogs off before sending me a thumbs up.

"Ok- what are you doing here?" He sees me.

"I'm allowed to try out aren't I? I go to this school" I say.

"We'll see. Taylor, Field, Moore, Goodman, Boyte, Creyte, Drewmen, Lite, Litchfield, Heily and Devon- Red team! Others blue. LET'S DO THIS!" The coach yelled as we all separated. I saw Spencer wave from the other team and I wave back.

The whistle blows.

I sprint forward and another guy from our team hogs the ball before heading for the goal, weaving in and out of players.

"HERE!" I yell and he passes it over to me. I run as fast as I can to the goal. SCORE!

"YES!" We cheered and the coaches whistle blew.

"That was great!" Spencer clapped me on the back. I almost doubled over it was so hard.

"THAT WAS ONLT THE 1ST TRIAL. 2 MORE TO GO THEN YOU WILL GET AN EMAIL EXPLAINING THE RESULTS!" The coach yelled as we walked to the cafe and bought juicys. I put mine on my head.

"Nice" Spencer laughed and chewed on his.

WHO CHEWS AN ICEBLOCK!

"I saw your goal that was amazing!" Cole sat next to us in the nearly empty cafe. I looked over at Spencer. Today was saturday. . .

"Spencer?" His head snapped towards me.

"It's Saturday. You said you'll be at your friends house till late?" His eyes widened.

"U- um. H- he cancelled" He stuttered. I can seriously make guys nervous.

"Oh how sad" I sympathised. NOT!

"I've gotta go now. Homework" He said quickly then sprinted off out of the cafe.

"So when do the teams get out?" I asked Cole.

"When the coach is ready I guess. Usually after the 3 trials the email comes around a couple of days later so in 2 weeks from now" He finished. I sighed.

"I can't wait that long!" I exclaimed. He laughed.

"Well I guess you'll just have to wait!" He shoved his chair in as we stood up.

"I'm gonna sleep early. Wanna come?" I asked him.

"Yup I'm tired even though I already trialled" He laughed as we trudged back to the dorms and fell asleep.
