Karissa's POV

I was sitting at the hospital, ready to go and pissed because August wasn't picking up his phone. I called for the sixth time and a girl picked up.

"Who this?" I heard August yelling in the background.

"Give August the damn phone." I said, pissed. Alexis and Amiah walked up.

"No." she said with attitude.

"You know what? Fuck it." I hung up.

"What's wrong?" Alexis sat beside me and Amiah got in her lap.

"Some hoe answered August's phone." I looked down at Aaliyah in her car seat.

"Hey babe." Nicki walked up with Kae.

"Hey." I gave her a hug.

"Where's the baby?" Kae looked around.

"Here she is." I reached down and gave her to Nicki.

"Aww, so cute." she took a picture.

"Amiah." I held out my arms.

"You have the baby?" she got in my lap.

"Yes. You see daddy today?" I kissed her cheek.

"No. I see him at night." she smiled.

"You see mommy?" I said.

"Yes. She say she was going with daddy." she looked at the doctor walking by.

"Ok. You ready to go?" I stood up.

"Yes." she ran back over to Alexis.

"Nicki, will you take me home? Then we can start whatever y'all had planned." I started walking.

"Of course." she put Aaliyah back in the seat and handed it to me.

"Go see what daddy's doing." I opened the door and Amiah ran in.

"Imma go put Aaliyah in the nursery and I'll be back." I walked upstairs. I changed and fed her and noticed Amiah in our bedroom door pointing and jumping up and down.

"Daddy!" she screamed.

"What's wrong baby?" I looked in the room. August was laying on the ground with blood running from his nose and mouth. Miracle was in our bed on top of a nigga.

"Oh hell no." I covered Amiah's eyes and put her in Aaliyah's room.

"Uh, Karissa." Miracle jumped up.

"Get out of here before I kill you. I'm deadass." I punched her and she ran out.

"Same thing for you." I picked up a vase and threw it at KJ.

"Damn, ok." he ran out after Miracle.

"August." I ran over to him crying.

"Bae.." he tried to open his eyes.

"What happened?" Alexis rushed over to us.

"August, say something. Tell me what they did." I wiped blood from his nose.

"They...they.." he tried to speak.

"No, calm down. Call the ambulance." I turned to Alexis. She ran out.

"August. Don't leave me. Aaliyah is here and I want you to see her grow." I cried.

"I promise...to stay with you..." he struggled to say.
