Sleepover (Yoichi x Reader)

You hugged your pillow tightly as you walked towards Yoichi's apartment. You'd had another bad dream and couldn't sleep even though you'd been trying to for quite a while. Therefore you came to the decision to go to your best friend. you had had a slight crush on him, yet you worried about how things would change between you both if you didn't feel the same and you confessed, honestly just being around him was enough to make you happy. But the worry of how you felt was enough to keep you awake and you had to tell him to truth sooner or later, right?

You knocked on the door softly careful not to wake other residents debating whether it would be worth admitting the truth to Yoichi about your feelings towards him. As he opened the door he yawned loudly rubbing his eyes. Standing in his doorway with a sleepy expression wearing only pajamas and slippers he looked at you with a confused look on his face. "(Y/N!) What are you doing here! It's 3am in the morning" he groaned quietly. Holding your pillow tightly to your chest you looked down at the floor, "I'm sorry but I couldn't sleep and I was hoping that being with you would help me be able to sleep better" you mumbled quietly. Okay, maybe it's best not to tell him at the moment you decided.

What you didn't notice is that Yoichi had a slight blush as he saw you at his door with such a cute expression on your face which was quickly replaced by his usual smile. "Of course (Y/N) come inside" he said happily as he shut the door behind you.

You grinned as you walked into his apartment quickly finding his bed and sitting on it still holding onto your pillow as you looked around. "This is a nice place" you giggled as you lay down looking towards him with a childish expression. "Yeah, I guess it is pretty nice here" he said as he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly before joining you on the bed beside you.

"Hey (Y/N) do you want me to read a book to you to try and help you sleep?" He asked quietly as he looked at you with a friendly expression. "Yes please Yoichi, could you please read (favourite book) please?" You asked innocently as you dove under his covers already waiting for the bedtime story.

After laughing at your enthusiasm he stood up and walked over to the bookshelf picking up (your favourite book) before coming to sit back down beside you, his hair still ruffled and his pajamas still crumpled. You looked up at him happily and grin as you reach out to squeeze his hand gently. "Thanks Yoichi, you really are a kind person" you whisper as you look up admiring his strikingly cute features.

As he began to read to you, you closed your eyes and smiled, giggling at certain parts in the book and inputting where you thought necessary. That was until it came upto a rather heated scene in the book, the teenager's cheeks became bright red as he began to read and you couldn't help but laugh at his amusing expression.

You sat up and moved beside him closing the book  and moving it to the side. "Hey, um... Yoichi?" He looked at you with curious eyes, a puzzled expression crossing his face. Well it's now or never! You thought as you looked up at him with a blush coating your cheeks. "What is it (Y/N?)" He asked as he stared into your mesmerising (E/C) eyes.

Taking a deep breath you begin your confession. "I, have something to ask you... and you don't need to answer and I still want us to be friends if you don't feel the same... but I like you Yoichi, a lot" you whispered, your hands now covering your bright red face. Yoichi's face lit up with happiness and he grinned at you, "I like you a lot too   (Y/N), love actually" he admitted, his face now being the same colour as your own. As he stated his true feelings you looked up at him in disbelief gobsmacked. "Therefore, (Y/N) would you do the honour of becoming my girlfriend?" He asked in the most serious tone of voice he could muster at that moment in time. You nodded happily in response beaming from ear to ear as you embraced him in a tight hug. "I love you Yoichi" you whispered into his ear smiling as he whispered the same sweet words back. "I love you too (Y/N), more than you could ever imagine."

You squealed as he pushed back down in bed and crawled in beside you, "now we both need to get some sleep otherwise Guren will be angry at us" he said sternly wrapping his arm around your waist before kissing you lightly on the lips enjoying the moment while it lasted. "Goodnight (Y/N) he said quietly as you started to fall asleep in his arms. "I love you to the moon and back, always."
