"M-a-t-t" I giggled as he ran into the water. He was about knee deep in the water when he started spinning me around. I squealed wrapping my arms around his neck, holding on for almost dear life. Matt laughed smiling down at me as he slowly began to stop. I smiled up at him. His smile turned into a grin as he let go and I fell into the water. I sat up and wiped the water off of my face. Matt doubled over laughing. I tripped him over pulling his legs forward and he fell on his butt in the water. A wave washed over his head catching him by surprise. He spat out the water in his mouth. I laughed and let out a small scream as Max jumped on me from behind.
"Haha hey buddy" I said patting his head. He barked and jumped on Matt pushing him under the water. I laughed and pulled Max back. Matt came back up shaking his head.
"YOUS COMING TO EAT OR WHAT?" Brooke shouted. Matt got up and held out his hand.
"Come on" he smiled. I smiled back taking his hand and he pulled me up. We walked back to the sand and sat on the blanket. Brooke squatted down beside me and showed me something on her phone. It was a picture of me and Matt while we were walking back to the beach. We were holding hands and then Max was mid air, jumping over a wave. I smiled.
"Ok it's cute" I said.
"I know right" she said. I nodded in agreement. They had gone and got salad and chicken rolls for lunch.
"Mmm stephs here" Matt said swallowing his food. I looked up to see Steph walking over with a bag in her hand. I jumped up and ran over to her.
"Steph!" I pulled her into a hug.
"Hey Sky how are you feeling?" she pulled back rubbing my arms. "Matt said you were quite upset"
"He did?"
"Yeah he cares about you a lot" I smiled.
"I'll be fine" she gave me a small smile.
"What are you two talking about?" Matt asked with a smile as he put his arms over our shoulders.
"Nothing important" Steph said with a laugh.
"We have some extra, come have lunch" I said.
"Alright, oh here Matt asked me to pick them up" she handed me the bag before walking over to the others.
"What have you done Matthew?" I asked with a smile as I crossed my arms.
"I thought he'd like them" he said shrugging. I looked in the bag. Inside was a large bone, a couple on new toys and a new collar.
"Thank you Matthew" I said wrapping my arms around his neck. "Thank you" I said just above a whisper.
"Anytime" he said into the top of my head. "I mean it" I smiled and cuddled into his neck.
"COME ON LOVE BIRDS!" Nate yelled. Matt chuckled before scooping me up and walking over to the others. I pulled out the collar and clipped it around Max's neck.
"It looks great" I smiled.
"Oh and the best part" Steph said and pulled something out of the bag. "It's like best friend necklaces but for you and Max" she held out the necklace.

"Wow" I said taking the necklace from her. "It's........ It's amazing thank you Steph"
"Don't thank me, thank Matt. I just picked it up" Steph said.
"Thank you Matthew"
"It's fine, I promise" he took the necklace out of my hand and strung it around my neck before clipping it up. I smiled.
