They arrived at the big hall. Students were already crowding the stage area. Principle Madeira took the stage and spoke in the microphone, silencing the rowdy crowd.

‘I will now announce the groups. When your name is called, please take place with the teacher responsible for your group. Mister Buraq will be responsible for group one. In that group will be:

Raegan,’ A beautiful girl stepped out of the group and walked towards the teacher standing in line with the others in the back of the great hall, fire like, red, wavy hair that reached to her lower back flowing behind her. Her skin was very tanned which made the scales on her arms, legs and bare belly almost invisible. She was wearing a low cut, black tank top, jeans shorts and army boots. ‘Not someone you should mess with.’ was Caera’s first thought. ‘Good thinking.’ Devlin answered. ‘Raegan is partly dragon.’ Faolan explained.

After a few more monsters, some Caera had never even heard of before, had been called out to join Raegan’s group, the principal announced the next group.

‘Now to mister Leo’s group will belong: Hyun,’ a little green boy with a frog like face and what seemed to be a leaf on his head wiggled his way up to the teacher, who didn’t appear to be a monster. ‘Hyun is a kappa, monsters who live mostly in Japan. They seem reserved but like practical jokes and such. Some tend to take it a little bit too far at times though.’ Devlin told her by thoughts. ‘The teacher is a shapeshifter. He can become a lion when he chooses to.’ Faolan finished.

‘Marjori,’ the principle continued. A petite girl seemed to almost skip her way to her assigned group. Her pinkish blond hair was falling on her back in a nice long braid. The white, lace dress suited her fragile posture perfectly. She didn’t seem like a monster either.

‘She’s a witch. She specializes in herbs and potions.’ Faolan said.

The principal called a few more names and went on to the next group. ‘Then for the next group, please go stand with mister Yuri when your name is called. Kyiana,’. Caera saw Kyiana stand next to Tyler in the crowd. Caera hoped she would be in the same group as her best friend. ‘Wiley,’ With a smug look on his face, the elemental twin walked away from his brother to join mister Yuri and Kyiana. ‘Alanah,’ A little, see through girl with straight, black hair, wearing torn jeans and a ripped, green shirt floated over to the group of mister Yuri. She looked like a fan of punk yet seemed to be very shy. ‘Alanah is a ghost.’ Devlin told Caera. ‘Don’t let her looks fool you, she’s a girl who’s not afraid to speak her mind.’

‘Caera,’ When Caera heard her name she almost jumped in the air of joy. Her whole being screamed to run over to her best friend at full speed, but instead she walked over quietly with a wide grin on her face. She could see Kyiana had the same grin. When she arrived at the group she gave Kyiana a big hug. ‘I think the principal put us together on purpose. So you’d be a little more at ease. Seeing with what has been happening in such a short amount of time.’ Kyiana whispered. Caera shrugged. Whatever may be the reason, she was glad to be in the same group.

‘Primus,’ A big centaur slowly made his way to the group. He seemed like a proud monster, not easy to start a conversation with. Caera expected Devlin or Faolan to give some info about the centaur, but her head was quiet. No comments were made. She glanced over to where the two were standing and saw them bickering. Caera sighed, took a deep breath and while thinking of the two idiots, she screamed in her head: ‘Would you two knock it off! You little babies! What are you bickering about this time?’ Both Faolan and Devlin jumped up and covered their ears. It was very funny to see and Caera had to give it all she got not to burst out laughing.

‘Faolan,’ he seemed like a puppy running to the door when its owner was coming home.

‘So what was all that about.’ Caera asked when Faolan took place next to her. He shrugged.

‘Nothing.’ Caera rolled her eyes. She didn’t really care enough to keep asking about it. The next name was about to be announced and she was curious to see who else would join the group.

‘Keegan,’ the other elemental twin stormed from his place towards the group. Caera could hear Wiley let out a big sigh behind her. He didn’t seem so happy to be teamed up with his brother.

‘Devlin,’ Caera looked at the principal. Kyiana might have been right about the group she was in being fixed. It was too much of a coïncidence to have so many of the monsters she knew in the same group as her for it to be randomly picked. Devlin took place behind Kyiana.

‘Tyler,’ Kyiana let out a little ‘kya’ when his name was called, happy to have her other best friend by her side as well. Caera was a little afraid to be in the same group as him. It would become awkward, she was sure of it. She still hadn’t had a chance to apologize about the incident or even try to explain. There was no fixing the bond that had been broken by her rash actions, even when those actions hadn’t been voluntarily, Caera knew that much and she had accepted it. Though a big part of her hoped that eventually they could have fun with the three of them together again. Tyler had been the first friend she had ever made besides Kyiana.

‘Kseniya.’ The principal announced the last monster to join the group.

‘Geh.’ Devlin made a disgusted face behind her.

‘What?’ Caera asked.

‘That’s my niece.’ Devlin said.

‘So?’

‘We don’t exactly get along.’

‘Neither do you and Faolan.’

‘True, but this is different.’

‘How so?’

A pale looking girl, a little shorter than Caera, stopped right in front of her. Caera looked the girl in her eyes and saw the same disgust Devlin had shown a little earlier. She swiftly turned on her heels, making her long, brown hair hit Caera in her face. It didn’t hurt but she instantly felt Faolan, Devlin and Kyiana clenching their fists and trying to hold back. Caera couldn’t help but laugh softly. Kseniya turned around to face her. Her eyes furious. ‘What’s so funny? Are you laughing at me? You might be thinking you are a whole lot for fooling our pr..mhmmmhmh’ Devlin jumped forward and held his hand over her mouth. ‘Watch your mouth, niece.’ he hissed at her.

A short chapter this time, sorry it's taking me so long to update, but a lot of new characters are comming up and making up an entirely new person is not very easy, especially when it's more than one at a time.
