"Ah, summer break." I at back in the pool lounge chair."

"You're acting like summer just started, Lily." My friend, Ashley, rubbed tanning oil on her legs. Her red hair was pulled back into a tight bun at the top of her head and her freckles were clearly visible past her sun hat. "This stuff smells nice."

"Mine did just start, remember. I was stuck in summer school. It only just ended yesterday." I took the bottle from her before she put more on her arms. "Did you take this from my bag?"

"Yeah why?"

"Come on. You'll need a shower before the sun really gets to you."

"Why its sunscreen isn't it?" she grabbed it back from me.

"No. I can't use sunscreen. It gives me a rash. That's sun tan oil." I took it back from her as she raced off towards the showers. Red heads. They burn so easily. I put the sun tan oil on my own arms and legs. "Why she would take some thing from my bag...?"

"Mable! Stop it!" I heard a boy's voice behind me.

"Ah man! She got the good chair," said an old man's voice from the same direction.

I sat forward and looked back. There was a teenage boy and a girl who was obviously his sister but I hardly even looked at them. Behind them was two old men who looked almost identical. The only differences were their glasses and hair. "May I help you?" I asked them. Yeah it was a little rude but they were the ones interrupting my relaxation time. At least here I could get away from my family.

"Sorry, miss," said the old man with rounded glasses. He whispered to the other man, "Stanly! You have to be nice."

"I can do what I want," said the other man.

There's the rude one. Wait I think I've seen that guy before. I cocked my head slightly as I stared at the rude man. I know who he is! "Mr. Pines. You used to own the Mystery Hack down the road."

"Mystery Shack, kid, not hack." He made sure to emphasize the word shack.

"I know. But you never fixed the sign so that's what it's said most of my life. Glad that changed." I sat back in my seat and watched a girl canon ball off the high dive. I realized it was the same girl from before when I noticed the light trail of pink and blue glitter that followed her. "Haven't seen you in years. Bet you don't even remember who I am."

"What are you talking about?" both men asked at the same time.

There definitely twins. I sat forward and pointed at the much ruder Mr. Pines. "I used to come over to your shop almost every day after school. I used to help you gather the materials used to make your attractions. I was like 5 or so."

"Hmmm..." he thought for a minute then he looked at me again. "Ha! You sure grew up... Amy... Jenty?"

Nope. "Lillyin Castle. I'm 18 now." I sighed and rolled my eyes at him. I gathered my stuff into my bag and realized why Ashley had taken something out of mine and not hers. Hers wasn't even there! I grabbed her towel and stood up. "Here you go Mr. Pines. I'm gonna swim for a while." I stood up and shook my head slightly as he sat down. The other Mr. Pines looked at me with a sight apology on his face but other that he was emotionless. "I'm sorry. I've never met you."

"Oh, don't worry, Miss Castle."

I interrupted. "Just Lily, please."

"In that case call me Ford." He held out his hand. It had six fingers.

Six fingers. Interesting. "It's nice to meet you, Ford." I smiled widely as I shook his hand. I didn't ask about the six fingers. I'm not that rude. "I'm sure I'll see you around." I smiled as I walked towards Ashley coming out of the shower house. "Hey Ashley! Let's go swim!" I set our stuff down by a new pool chair and walked over to the high dive while Ashley got her dumb butt thrown in pool jail for running... into the life guard.
