"Why in the Hell would I help you open the inter-dimensional portal!" Ford was yelling at this point. "Do you remember what happened the last time that was open?"

"No, Ford! I don't know what happened because I wasn't here." I had cleaned the cut with help from Ford before telling him what I needed his help with. "I assume it had something to do with Bill Cipher and the end of the world." I crossed my arms. "The world could be brought to a far worse fate than anything Cipher could dish out. Lucy Luck is his protégé! She's younger. More creative. She is even more controlling. You've heard of Lady Luck, well there's a reason she doesn't ever stick around. Good luck is non-existent, only bad luck and good planning. Trust me. Lucy is worse."

"What are you talking about? Nothing could be worse than Bill." Ford crossed his arms.

I laughed to the point it hurt. "You've seen into Bill's mind. Now imagine that you took that and put it into the lithograph Relativity by M. C. Escher. That's Lucy's mind. It's a scary place that she and Bill want to make a reality."

"That is bad." Ford dropped his arms and began to mess with something on his counter. "So you've seen Bill before?"

"Yeah I've seen him." I leaned back a little against the wall. "His stupid gold suit bothers my eyes and just looking at his eye patch gives me a head ache."

"Wait." Mason stood up. "Lillyin, what are you talking about? Bill is yellow triangle in a top hat and bow tie."

"Nope. Maybe he was in this world, but currently, like yesterday, in the dreamscape he is a 25 year old looking man with a golden glow to him... and Lucy isn't all that different."

"You saw him yesterday?" Ford's eyes were wide and worried.

"Yeah. I was stuck in the mindscape when Lucy took over." I took a step forward and put my hands on my hips. "So are you going to help us or not? I'll find a way to figure this out. I just wanted the help of an expert."

Ford sighed. "Fine. I'll help you... but only because I don't want you getting hurt. I am still fully against this plan."

"Thank you, Ford." I put my glove back on. "Now I've only got three hours to find both a job and a place to stay. Come on, Mason."

Mason started to lead me back up the stairs but before we were half way up Ford sat his hand on my shoulder. "Lillyin. Stay here. You can sleep on the couch."

I stopped and turned around. "Would you really allow me to?"

"Yeah." He scratched the back of his head. "But only for one week... by then we should be in the next dimension."

"Thanks, Ford." I smiled and walked up the stairs with Mason.

"Sure, dawg. I can dig that." Soos was getting ready to start another tour when I'd asked him for a job. "We'll talk 'bout this later." He walked up to a group of dumb tourists, half of which were currently staying in my mom's motel. "Welcome to the..." I stopped listening.

Mason was standing behind the counter. He looked super bored. "Did he say 'yes', Lillyin?"

"Yeah... Well I think so." I rubbed my arm. "I don't really keep up with the cool terms. I don't really fit in much."

"You see? I told you Soos would love to have you work for him." Mason sat back in his chair and it almost fell over but he caught the counter instead. "Oops."

I laughed. "Dude. That was weak." I stepped behind the counter with him. I leaned back against the counter.

He crossed his arms. "I'm not weak."
