We stepped out of the portal to find ourselves face to face with... no one. There was no one at all and it was dark. There was a million stars but no moon.
"Are we home?" Mable began to put some blanks into her gun.
She's scared. I don't blame her... "I don't know Mable. Let's go for a little walk and find out." I started walking forward. Mable followed behind me and Mason stayed to my right. I felt safe knowing he was covering my blind spot. We walked out of the forest and into Gravity Falls. Even if we weren't home it was a parallel universe. I led the way down the road until we reached the Mystery Shack. I looked to Mason and Mable but they both just shrugged. I decided to knock. I knocked as loud as I could and soon we heard a grumbling behind the door.
It opened and there stood Stan Pines, in his underwear and scratching himself. He looked at each of us. "Kids?" his eyes popped. "Kids! You came back! Fordsy! Get up here you nerd!" His voice seemed higher.
I looked at Mason. "I think we're in the right place..." I looked back to Stan.
Stan turned his head to Mable. He stepped out and hugged her. "Dipper! I'm so glad your back! We thought you'd died!"
"Um..." I took a closer look at Stan. Stan had a ponytail and cleavage. I turned to Mason. "We're in the wrong dimension again."
"What's the difference this time?" asked Mason as he stared at the female Stan
I leaned towards Mason and whispered in his ear. "Gender-bent."
Suddenly 'Ford' came through the door. Her hair was long and bushy. She bared down on both me and Mason. "Mable! Lyle!" She held us at arm's length. She ran her six fingered hand through my hair. "Lyle, how did you get your hair to grow so fast?"
"I think we'll have to tell them." I looked at Mable and Mason in turn and each nodded. "Um... Stan, Ford, I think you should sit down before I tell you this."
"Oh of course! Come inside!" Ford led the way. Inside she and female Stan both sat on the couch.
This is going to break their hearts. Mason, Mable, and I all stayed standing. I put my hands together. "I hope we didn't intrude, but we're not who you're looking for... my name is Lillyin." I set my hand on Mable's shoulder. "This is Mable, not Mason, and..." I set my other hand on Mason's shoulder. "This is Mason, not Mable. We're trying to get home and we ended up here. I'm afraid we can't stay long. Our own Ford and Stan will be very worried about us by now."
Ford looked about to cry. She covered her face.
Oh-no! "I'm sorry. We have to go." I grabbed Mason's and Mable's wrists and pulled them outside. "We may have broken them." I pulled them quickly along until we reached the clearing. I took the gun from my back and scoped in on a weak spot. "We're leaving before we cause more damage." I fired and pulled the twins through the portal.
