they met a few years back. she was a young rebel newbie, strongminded and confident. he was her captain on the mission, and he immediately was intrigued.

they went through everything together. they became the best of friends and stayed together for everything. every mission was a success with them side by side.

until one mission.

they stood in front of a imperial base. hand in hand, they looked at the busy building. "how are we going to do this?" he asked, looking at her. she smiled. "improvise, like we always do". she jumped up and started towards the building, when she tripped over a wire.

"don't move!" she screamed. it was a trap, with a gun aiming straight at her head. "shit (y/n) what am i supposed to do?"

"you can't do anything. as soon as i move the wire i'm dead. cassian..." "stop you're not going to die"
