you ran into the hospital room, shoving anyone out of your way. you got the call while you were with bodi.

he was coming back.

cassian had been in a coma for several moons now. you, him, and bodi were all on a mission when suddenly a rogue empire ship attacked, its firepower much superior to your small supply ship. a hard blast left the ship jeering and cassian, in an effort to try to protect you, was not protected, and was flung against the hard steel hull of the ship. you immediately ran to him, ignoring bodi's cries about the danger. as his consciousness was fading, he somehow managed to smile at the sight of you, before he disappeared into the limbo of a coma.

you all immediately rushed to the nearest base for a medic, but it was too late. his body functioned normally, and he could still breathe, but he wouldn't wake up.

finally you got the call.

as soon as you saw who it was calling, you grabbed cassian's warm parka you had been keeping, and rushed to the medbay.

as you walked in the room, breathless from running, you stopped as you saw him, your cassian, sitting upright and talking to the doctor in the room.

you screamed, dropping his thick coat and rushing towards him. you wrapped your arms around him and rocked back and forth.

"aHHH CASSIAN YOURE FINALLY AWAKE I MISSED YOU SO MUCH HOW ARE YOU OHMYGOSHHH!!!!"

you pulled away, waiting for a response. your smile dropped when you saw the confused look on his face.

"cas? it's me..."

that's when the doctor stepped forward.

"ma'am, he's lost his memory"

the world turned upside down.

all the times you had spent together.

meeting him in a rebel training.

having lunch together and making fun of the horrid food.

him saying that he liked you, more than a friend.

your first kiss, under the bright stars.
