you stared as they laughed. you never fit into those groups. you weren't funny. or cool. or even the slightest bit pretty.

frankly you had no idea why cassian decided that he liked you and wanted you as a girlfriend.

so you decided to ask him.

as he walked back from the 'cool' group, he noticed you looked down.

"hey" he said, wrapping an arm around your shoulder. "what's wrong?"

he sounded concerned but you lied.

"nothing". you faked a weak smile.

unsure, he frowned, but stayed silent all the way back to your living quarters.

as soon as you stepped through the door, he pushed you against the wall. you giggled.

"(y/n), this isn't funny. why. are. you. upsetttttt???" he begged.

you sighed and finally gave in.

"i...i don't know why you like me"

he stayed silent, so you continued.

"i'm not pretty. or funny. or smart. or anything popular so i don't know why you want me to be your girlfriend."

your eyes welled up with tears, and you tilted your head up to look at cassian.

"you're right. you're not pretty.

you're beautiful. and for smarts? hell you're the smartest rebel i've ever met, with a genius natural intuition. and you are the light of my life whenever i feel down. i was lost without you. i love you and i wouldn't choose anyone else"

he pulled you into a deep, passionate kiss.
