At the end of the day I got on the bus 197 and it took me home but the whole time on the bus I didn't see Shane at all when I walk into my new house I see my mom watching the tv "Hey Fern I found a job today!" Mom says "Why?" I ask
"What do you mean why?" Mom asks "I mean what's the point of that when dad can get all the money we need?" I ask
"Because I don't want to be stuck in this house all day that's why." Mom says "Whatever so when's dad going to get here?" I ask "In a hour maybe?" Mom says
"Mom do you by any chance know where Shane is?" I ask "Yea he's in the kitchen doing god knows what" Mom says I walk to the kitchen
"Why where you not on the bus!?" I ask Shane as he takes peanuts and whip cream out
"Oh hey sis. I got a ride." He says "You got a ride? I had to ride the bus alone!" I say
"Well I'm sorry you don't have friends now if mom asks where I'm at say that I'm at a friends house I'll be back at 5!" He says jumping out the kitchen window what the heck?
My mom walks into the room "Wheres your brother?" She asks "Friends or some sh*t." I say grabbing my phone about to walk up the stairs
"What?" My mom mumbles as I walk to my room slamming the door it's hot so I open the window I unpack a few of my boxes then when I look out my window there's someone looking at me I scream dropping the box I had in my hand then they whisper yell "Shut up!"
"Who are you? And why are you looking in my room!?" I ask "Because I live here....this is my room and your windows open." He says "What ever who are you?" I ask he turns on the light and I see the blue eyed monster...Tristan
"What are you doing in that house?" I ask leaning forward out the window since we are like 5 feet away from each other "Because I live here." Tristan says "Well that's just great." I say
"Look I'm not one of those mean....jock....that plays any and every girl they can!" Tristan says "Well you act like it." I say
"That's just at school though" Tristan says "Look I don't want to have a fake friend that I can only talk to out of school, and when I'm in school ignore them." I say to Tristan
"Look we don't have to be friends. I'm just saying that your mom invited me and my family to dinner at your house tomorrow and I'm just asking for you and me to be friends for one. Just one dinner or even better that whole night." Tristan says
"What?! My mom invited you and your family with out asking me if I want to or if i could even be there! She's just going to invite you in the house I live in?!" I ask "W-" Tristan starts but gets cut off by my mom and brother yelling at each other
"SHANE LEON KING GO TO YOUR ROOM NOW!!" My mom yells "BUT FERN NEVER GETS HAS TO!!" Shane yells back at her Tristan laughs "Shut up I'm trying...key word trying to listen." I say to him "Well I'm sorry gosh." He says
"BECAUSE SHES ALWAYS IN HER ROOM!!! IF SHE GETS IN TROUBLE I MAKE HER SET DOWN HERE OR SOCIALIZE WITH PEOPLE!!" Mom yells "I HEARD THAT!!!" I yell at my mom "SORRY BUT I LOVE YOU FERN!!" Mom yells I roll my eyes
"I GUESS I LOVE YOU TO!!" I yell back "THIS IS SO UNFAIR!!!" Shane yells "Your family has a weird way of showing you love them." Tristan says
"I know..." I say just as my phone starts blasting
ALL GIRLS WANT TO DO IS HAVE FUN!!
I click the end button because I already know who's calling me "Nice ring tone." Tristan "She said that when she called me she wanted those lyrics to play." I shrug
"Anyways before I leave I just wanted to say
just be yourself! life is to short to be someone else."
And with that I close my window.
