Rory paced around the house waiting for Logan to arrive. She was nervous and excited and more than a little nauseous. She hoped that she and Logan would be able to finally talk and figure out how to proceed forward together.

Finally she heard a car pull into the driveway. Rory took a deep breath and headed to open the door. She watched as Logan got out of the dark SUV and walked up to the front porch.

"Hi." Rory said, mostly to break the silence.

Logan stood in front of Rory and had buried his hands deep into his leather jacket pockets to avoid reaching out to touch her. He knew that they had to talk and he didn't trust himself to do that if he touched her. "Hi. I haven't thought to ask you yet- how have you been feeling?"

Rory smiled as she stepped back from the door and gestured for him to come in. Logan crossed the threshold and she replied. "Pretty good really. I've been nauseous on and off, and tired but that's about it." She lead Logan into the kitchen and offered him some coffee.

"I'm not sure I should at this hour. I've been having trouble sleeping." Logan said.

"Oh, it's decaf. Mom hid the full strength as soon as I told her about the baby." Rory replied. She was feeling tense with the awkwardness between them, but tried not to show it.

Logan looked surprised but nodded. "I guess that's right. I remember Honour wasn't allowed to drink coffee when she was pregnant. But I thought that was because of the severity of her morning sickness."

"It can be a factor." Rory nodded. She set two mugs and the carafe of decaf on the table. She was about to sit down before she remembered to grab the cream from the fridge. She set it down with a spoon near Logan before taking the seat across the table from him.

Logan smiled as he poured a small portion of cream into his coffee, pleased by her remembering the small detail that he preferred cream in his coffee in the evening. He drank it black through out the day, but allowed the decadence of cream in his coffee after dinner.

After a moment they had both settled in with their mugs steaming before them. The silence dragged out.

Rory tried again. "So, I'm not sure how to start. Did you have any questions for me? Or anything in particular to say?"

Logan nodded, completely serious. "I guess that I do have some things to tell you. I've been thinking mostly about the baby. I want to be involved. I want to have a real relationship with my child, you know. Now, I'm not exactly sure how to be a good father, but I know what not to do. I don't want to be like Mitchum."

Rory smiled. "That's great. We both had less than ideal relationships with our dads. I want more for our child, so I'm happy to hear you say that."

"I've decided that for this to work, I'm going to move back to the states. I need to call Mitchum and let him know that he can either transfer me back, or I'm resigning. But before I do that, I want to know what your plans are. Do you intend to live here in Stars Hollow?" Logan asked.

"I want to stay in the area. Definitely in Connecticut. Maybe New Haven or Hartford. I have decided that much." Rory confirmed.

"Ok. So, if I tell Mitchum that I'm moving back to Connecticut, he may need to be told why. Have you told your grandmother about the baby yet? Because once Mitchum and Shira know..." Logan reminded her.
