Logan bounded out of the private jet to find his two best friends waiting for him on the tarmac. Colin was on the phone while keeping an eye on the plane door while Finn was leaning back against the black SUV waiting to take the trio on their next adventure.
Colin spotted Logan first and knocked on the car to alert Finn. As Colin was ending his call, Finn unfolded himself and stood, a glass of scotch neat in his hand and waited as Logan quickly covered the pavement between himself and the boys.
"Reporting for duty, sir!" Finn barked and mock saluted Logan. "Awaiting orders." He chuckled.
"Guys- thanks so much for dropping everything to be here. Where is Robert?" He asked.
"He's in court. He won't be able to get away for at least two days." Colin replied, gesturing towards his phone. "Copyright trial."
Logan nodded and said "I'm just grateful that you two were able to get away on such short notice."
Finn scowled "What could be more important than helping you finally get your head out of your ass?"
Logan shook his head and laughed. "No way, Finn. I've been waiting for a sign from Rory for years that she's ready for more. I finally got it, so I came right away."
"She's stubborn, that girl." Colin agreed as the got in the SUV. "Where to?"
"Stars Hollow." Logan replied. "And while I'm getting my girl back, here's what I need you two to do." Logan sat forward with one leg bouncing nervously and began to instruct his partners in adventure.

Rory looked at her mother aghast.
"You know, for a communications major, you seriously suck at communicating." Lorelie began. "I think we may want to ask Yale for our money back. Not your dad's - they can keep that. But I'd like my money back."
"Mom!" Rory began but was cut off by Lorelie.
"No, seriously- that place was expensive. I'm almost ok with the tuition, but the meal plan was crazy. I saw what they were feeding you. I could have kept you in cereal and burgers for a lot less!"
"Ok- firstly, I did not eat only burgers and cereal. Secondly, that was just my first two years. And you were the one that insisted that I needed to live on campus to get the full college experience!" Rory retorted. She couldn't help being sucked in to the banter with her mother.
But she redirected the conversation as quickly as she could. "And to think, if I didn't live on campus I may never have met Logan!""See, I was right. Full college experience." Lorelie crowed.
"Back to the matter at hand. What do I do now?" Rory appealed to her mother.
"Well, you are the Logan expert. What do you think he's going to do based on your text?" Lorelie got down to business.
Rory sat and thought for a minute. A small smile graced her face and she turned back to her mother. A feeling of calm descended over her for the first time in days.
"Mom? What would you have done? If you got a text from Luke saying he still loved you while you two were estranged?" Rory asked.
"I would have moved heaven and earth to get to him and tell him that I felt the same way too." Lorelie answered without hesitation.
Rory nodded once.
"Yeah, that's what I thought. Ok. So I'm going to go get a quick shower and get dressed. I suggest that you do the same." Rory got up from the couch and walked towards her room.
"What? What about Logan?" Lorelie yelled after her.
"It takes about 12 hours to fly from London to Hartford. I sent Logan the text at 3 yesterday. I'd say he was at the airport by 4:30, 5 if there was traffic. And there would have been traffic at that hour in London." Rory glanced at the clock and continued. "He should be here within the hour." She continued down the hallway to grab some clean clothes and shower.
"Rory! Are you serious?" Lorelie followed her towards her room.
"Or I'm completely wrong, and he won't come. And either way, I still need a shower." Rory shrugged. "And if I don't hear from him by the end of the day, I'm going to switch to plan b."
