"Snow can you please concentrate?" Baz's aggravated voice pulled Simon's mind from imagining bathing in the Watford scones he had left behind when they had left the school. He grinned sheepishly at his boyfriend and Baz dramatically rolled his eyes. "Now, what are getting?"
"Penny made us a list," Simon said, digging the piece of paper out of the front pocket of his jeans.
"She made a list?" Baz asked incredulously, "Bunce is controlling, isn't she?"
Simon half laughed, half wanted to defend his friend, even though Baz and Penny were good friends now and what he said was in jest, "Well she knew sending a vampire and a food-obsessed boy wouldn't go well if left alone."
Baz glanced around at the Normals milling around them, but none had overheard, "She has a fair point. Although you know for a fact I still eat, I eat all the time in front of you."
"Yeah, but you don't really like food."
"What makes you think that?"
"I just know."
Baz shook his head at the other boy and pushed their trolley further down a random aisle, as Simon read off the first item on the list, "Butter."
"Butter's in the next aisle, is there anything we need in this one?"
"I don't know," Simon looked around, "Stir in hot chocolate," he said, lunging for the container close to the ground.
"That's not on the list," Baz didn't have to check, just knew Penelope would never consider it a necessity.
"You didn't ask what was on the list, just if there was anything we needed in this aisle, I vote hot chocolate that you stir in," Simon laughed, and Baz rolled his eyes again.
"You should not be in charge of the list," he said, and the other boy frowned at him.
"You may be right, but I was entrusted with the list, and I will perform this duty with everything I have left in me," Simon feigned sincerity and Baz just kept walking, "Two minute noodles are next to you."
"Are they on the list?"
"Yes," Simon groaned.
"Just checking," he grabbed a couple packets and threw them into the trolley.
Simon continued to try to push random items of food into the trolley, various forms of junk food and unnecessarily random food, like beetroot chips. Baz scoffed and rolled his eyes, all the while pushing the food back onto the various shelves they came from. By the time Simon was trying to sneakily drop food in over the side of the trolley and Baz had to swoop to grab it before it dropped, Baz was about to snap.
"Snow, I'm not fucking playing, cut this shit," Baz snarled at his boyfriend who immediately stuck his bottom lip out in a pout.
"But how else will I annoy you?"
"You'll find a way, I'm sure of it."
Simon pouted for a moment and the two boys continued to put things (from the list) into the trolley, that is until Baz froze, feeling the other boy's hands on his hips.
"You're wearing jeans.""Snow..." Baz looked around the nearly empty supermarket, catching the eyes of a few passerbyers.
Simon stood back, his hands back by his side, a smirk now on his face, "I know, I know. No gay stuff in public."
Baz scoffed, "You can barely look away from me at any given time, I don't think you have to worry about touching me in public, although I don't want to have to spell you away in front of Normals."
