this way to the vampire

"I'm going to do it."

"Do what?"

"I'm going to shave my head."

Simon glanced up from the guitar he had rested in his lap, his fingers still curled around the neck. His eyes met Baz's and Simon's eyebrows furrowed, "You are not."

"Watch me," Baz said, his eyebrows arched high on his forehead in a challenge, and Simon rolled his eyes in response.

"If you shave your head, I'm going to have to leave you," he simply said, his eyes dropping once again to the guitar in his hands, as he began to strum quietly.

"Bit harsh, Snow."

"Sorry, I don't make the rules," Simon laughed. "Actually on second thought, I am starting to get annoyed with you, so shave your head and I won't have to break up with you."

Baz brought his hand up to his chest, clutching above his heart in mock pain, "How the people I love hurt me. I'm glad you mentioned that though because I was starting to feel like you didn't want me around."

"I've never wanted you around," Simon laughed, looking back up at his dramatic boyfriend, "Sworn enemies, remember?"

"I mean, that was true. We were enemies and you never wanted me around, until you decided that you always wanted me around - that life is just a hollow shell of itself unless you know my heart is beating somewhere in the local vicinity."

"Oh?" Simon said sarcastically and raised his eyebrows, "I decided that, did I?"

"Maybe it was me who decided. Never mind. Same difference."

Simon let our a breathy laugh, feeling his heart beating faster at Baz's words. No matter how much time passed in their relationship his body still reacted in a similar way anytime his boyfriend made a statement about his feelings.

Baz walked over and slumped down onto the couch next to Simon, pushing the guitar out of his way so he could rest his head in his lap. His eyes met Simon's as he stretched himself out on the couch, his legs crossed at the ankles. Simon rolled his eyes again as he rested the guitar gently on the floor and sat back to allow his boyfriend to get comfortable.

"Anyway, you can't shave your head. You'll look absolutely mental. Not to mention, fucking ridiculous." As Simon spoke, one of his hands absentmindedly began to stroke through Baz's hair, sweeping it back from his forehead.

"I look worse with this hair. I look evil." Baz spoke indignantly.

"There's no such thing as evil hair," Simon giggled, his hand still scraping through Baz's hair.

"Look at me," Baz's gaze was piercing, even as Simon's eyes were softened in laughter. "Every famous vampire has a widow's peak like this. I'm a cliche. I'm a walking caricature of every vampire throughout history. It's like I went to the barber and asked for 'a Dracula.'"

Simon couldn't hold back his laughter and stared at Baz in adoration, his face lit up with all the things he wouldn't say, all the things he felt for his boyfriend. "You're an idiot."

"I mean, honestly," Baz said, his hand going up to land on top of Simon's and he pushed them both back to hold his hair tighter, still trying to keep a straight face. "It's like an arrow on my face. This way to the vampire."

Simon wrapped his fingers through Baz's and held their intertwined hands on the crown of his head, as he stooped down to kiss the point of his hairline as gently as he could. "I like your hair," Simon said against Baz's forehead. "Really, really."

Baz took a shaky breath and smiled, even though Simon couldn't see it, "You have to say that, you love me."

"Yes, that is true," Simon said, sitting back up and smiling down at Baz, "But I also have to say that because I think you would look ridiculous with a shaved head."

I love my adorable lil sons. Also I took two sections from Fangirl and used them for inspiration (and legit some of the actual dialogue is word for word) to make this cute lil scene hahaha.

I hope you like it! And comment and vote and let me know what you think, and all the things, you know? Thanks for reading!!!
