"Hot potato, hot potato!
Hot potato, hot potato!
Hot potato, hot potato! Potato!
Potato, potato, potato!"I smile happily as I watch Sophie dance along to the music in front of the TV, her eyes alight with excitement as she jumps around the living room. It's been months since I saw her and she's grow so much, it's unbelievable.
"Isn't she just adorable?" I say, feeling my heart swell up.
"You're telling me. I honestly fall more and more in love with her everyday." Maddison gushes, her hand resting over her heart.
I've been back at home for a week and a half now, Dean telling me that it would be safest for me to stay here while they try to deal with everything. Things have gotten insane in these past few weeks, worse then we could have ever imagined.
The guys were able to track down Eve, who created a brand new creature in an attempt to make one that would outdo the others in power. She explained to them once she had them trapped that she wanted to take out Crowley, who she believed was still alive. She said it was all about the souls and the power that they wield. Whoever holds the power of souls is almost unstoppable. She then attempted to turn Dean, but he consumed some of the ashes in he alcohol he was tasting. This meant that Eve died and Cas was able to heal him.
But we found out some thing much worse than that. Cas is working with Crowley in an attempt to access the souls in purgatory. He plans to use them in the war against Raphael, to harness their power. Bobby and Sam grew suspicious of him originally, wondering how Cas could make a mistake about burning the wrong bones. And their suspicions were confirmed when they found out that Cas has been spying on them this whole time as they secretly tried to track down Crowley. They begged him to stop what he's doing, but he refused. Last I heard from them, they were trying to find a way to stop Cas from cracking Purgatory.
"It's been so good seeing you. It hasn't been the same since you and Dean left." Maddison says.
"I know, I have missed it here so much. The quiet and the stillness of it all, man I wish we had that more often." I say, looking around my home lovingly as I take a sip of my tea.
"So the new job is hectic huh?" She asks and I pause mid sip, my mind once again running to the circus show that is my life.
"Yeah, you could say that." I murmur, putting the cup down on the table.
"It must be even more stressful with the baby. How far along are you now?" She asks, nodding towards my round tummy.
"I'm around nineteen weeks now." I say, running a hand over the hard surface.
"That's amazing. God I miss being pregnant." She says, taking a sip of her coffee and I scoff, "I forgot how hard it was."
"Yeah, but you get something so incredible out of it. Donald and I have been talking about having another one." She says and I raise my eyebrow, "Oh? What's the verdict?"
She sighs and shakes her head, "He doesn't think we should try again till we have more money saved up. But I just want to have another one. Sophie is so amazing and I know she would be the best big sister in the world."
I look over to the little girl, a big smile on my face as she dances along to moves on the screen. She looks so happy, so vibrant. She doesn't have a single care in the world and I envy her so much. She doesn't know how difficult life can get, what dangers are lurking around the corner.
