Standing in front of the stall, the bright colours entice me as I look at the produce. The sound of chatter fills the warm air, hundreds of people taking in the food. We're at a Farmer's Market in town, the guys coming back after their trip to find Kevin, which was eventful to say that least.
They tracked him to Centreville and visited Kevin's girlfriend Channing, who claimed she hadn't seen him since he disappeared. They eventually found him hiding out in an abandoned church, where he'd set himself up in the last few months. He explained to them what happened when he was captured by Crowley.
He gave Kevin another tablet, except this time it was all about demons. He forced Kevin to read the tablet to find out its secrets, but Kevin was a lot smarter than he gave him credit for. He was able to perform a spell that was able to expel the demons from around him. He then took off with the tablet and went on the run. But that's not the only thing he found out from the tablet, he found out that there is a way to close the gates of Hell forever.
It was at this point Crowley appeared with Channing by his side, her being possessed by a demon. He tried to Kevin with him, but Sam and Dean were able to get him away. In retaliation, Crowley snapped Channing's neck and killed her, breaking Kevin's heart.
In his grief, Kevin demanded that they go see his mother to make sure that she was alive and safe. But they found her to be guarded by demons. Quickly taking them out, they got Mrs Tran out and she insisted on going with them to get the tablet. However when they got to the hiding place Kevin chose, they found the tablet was stolen.
Apparently a god named Plutus stole the tablet and added it to his collection that he was auctioning off. Monsters, demons and angels came from all over to bid on the precious items. To sweeten the tablet deal, Plutus captured Kevin and added him as a pair. To her horror, Mrs Tran bid her own soul to save Kevin which Plutus was eager to take.
But the deal didn't go through after Crowley, who was also present at the auction, betrayed them. He offered Plutus' assistant a private island in order to betray his boss. After burning off the anti possession tattoo Mrs Tran had, he possessed her and stole the tablet. While Sam was saving Kevin from the assistant, Dean was fighting Crowley for the tablet. He nearly killed Mrs Tran to kill Crowley, but he escaped with the tablet.
Kevin realising how much danger he and his mother were in, they ran away claiming that they would be safer in their own. Dean and Sam have been trying their best to track him down, but he's outsmarted them at every turn. They came back here to regroup and to also see me and Mary. After much discussion, Dean and I have talked and we've decided that I should stay here with Mary while they try to find Kevin and tablet. I will try and help out where I can, but Mary is my first priority and they agree.
Sam reaches over beside me and picks up one of the red apples, taking a bite out of it. It sounds crisp and juicy, almost like a perfect apple. I add a few of them to my bag and pay the woman behind the stall, her smile warm and kind.
Pushing the pram down the path in front of the stalls, Dean reads from his phone, "Wow. Guy goes to Purgatory for a year, all hell breaks loose. Check this out, a jogger in Minneapolis gets his heart ripped out."
"I'm guessing literally?" Sam says, examining some food but continuing to walk.
"Only way that interests me." Dean murmurs, his eyes not leaving the screen, "And then another article from six months ago. The same thing happens also in Minneapolis. What does that tell us?"
